Yesterday was our 9th wedding monthsary so we celebrate it at fine-dining restaurant. #sosyal. A week before our monthsary, I asked Ian what his plans on our special day and our conversation go like this.

RN – Honey, san tayo sa monthsary natin? Nood ng sine? Dinner?
Ian – Dinner tayo syempre.
RN – San tayo mag dinner? E halos lahat nan g resto sa Glorietta and Greenbelt na try na natin.
Ian – Sa Carpaccio tayo.
RN- San yun? Baka mahal dun ha, alam mo naman nagtitipid na tayo.
Ian – Sa may Yakal, okay food dun, masarap.
RN – Natry mo na ba dun?
Ian – OO (nag mamayabang na sagot.. Haha)
RN – At kelan naman aber?
Ian -  hhhhhmmmmm… mga year 2006 pa..
RN- Waaahhhhh.. parang 7 years ago na yun, baka sarado na yun..

Carpaccio Ristorante is a fine Italian restaurant along Yakal street San Antonio Village Makati. It’s actually walking distance from Café Puro building in Pasong Tamo. We literally passed by this restaurant every time we’re going to MOA. Carpaccio Ristorante has a really good ambiance and service and I must say it was the best decision we made that night.

The place is very romantic; I love the laid-back environment that’s perfect for intimate occasions. I told my husband “Dapat ditto mo ko dinala nung valentine’s day para di crowded”. The dining area has a wide array of choices for wine and cocktails; you can also notice the kitchen which is openly viewed by diners. There are also two function rooms that would be perfect for special occasion or group meetings.

(Sorry for the poor quality photos, we only used camera phone.. booooo!)

The manager helped us to choose for our orders, she is very knowledgeable of the menu; I also love all the servers because they know what they are serving and they are all attentive specially in refilling our water. Hehe.  While waiting for us to place our orders, we were first served with their freshly-baked dinner rolls that was complete with three spreads - butter and pesto, fresh tomato, butter and pesto.

Complimentary Bread  / Grissini Appetizer
I preferred to try their pasta, and according to their manager Alla Vercasacana is one of their best sellers.  This pasta is made up of smoked salmon, prawns, asparagus, cream and herbs. This dish came in as the richer and creamier kind.  Well, I can say that the taste did not disappoint.

Alla Vercasacana Php 550.00 (main course)

My husband order for Coscia D’Agnello, a lamb shank in red wine sauce with garlic, fresh herbs and tomatoes, mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meat was soft, tender and juicy.

Coscia D’Agnello Php 790.00

He also order Pizza con Funghi e Prosciutto - stuffed with tomatoes, mushroom, prosciutto, mozzarella and oregano complete in whole. Serving is good for 2 pax.  The pizza was pretty crunchy in some portions. I love their pizza because it has a good flavor balance.

Pizza con Funghi e Prosciutto Php 490.00

Overall, everything seemed honest to goodness! We loved the food from the bread and spreads appetizer to the pizza and pasta combo and lamb dish that we ordered.  Carpaccio is definitely one of the best Italian places in the metro. Although the price is a bit expensive, its super okay - great food, good ambiance and excellent service! Two thumbs up! You get ready to experience the wonderful flavors of Italy!
Happiness! ♥

Ooopppss.. while going down the stairs, we saw this cow figure with the names of the Werdenberg establishments. So cute!

So guys never miss out on the chance of visiting the cluster of restaurants placed along the street of Yakal in Makati.

Honey, happy 9th wedding monthsary. Wow! It’s been 9 months since we said “I DO” in front of God, our families and friends but until now I smile whenever I recall how beautiful that day was. I can’t believe in less than 3 months we’re going to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Wow! Every day, I thank the lord for giving me a very lovable, loyal, understanding husband. You are the man beyond my dreams, the man I marry and the man I would marry again and again.

As months go by, I stop and think about all the memories we've made, good time and also bad times which make our relationship stronger. You are a blessing from above, the one that I do not take for granted. I love you more than words, more than my life and always remember that I’m forever grateful for your love and I am proud to be your wife.

To the man I have chosen to love and be with me for a lifetime, Happy 9th Wedding Monthsary! Iloveyou so much! Mwah!

Happy 9th Wedding Monthsary!

Hi Guys,

I'm so sorry for not updating my site, as usual busy-busyhan ang lola nyo.. Hehe. Anyway, I just want to share my simple but kikay outfit during our summer getaway with my family and officemates at Club Manila East.

Slippers from Havaianas
Bathing Suit from Sassa Swimwear
Shades from @drop_n_shop (Instagram)

I told you, di mo kailangan bumili ng branded clothes to be a fashionista. Hello! Practical na tayo ngayon, ika nga nila, "Nasa pagdadala lang yan.."

My husband asked me to have dinner last March 27, this is actually unplanned. Hubby texted me and say that he was craving for some ramen. Waahhh.. San naman kami hahanap ng masarap na ramen, not knowing that my husband has already an idea where to eat. Booo.. Ang duga talaga!

Searching for Santouka is a bit difficult, thank to Ayala concierge they are updated with the new restaurants around the area.  This restaurant located in Glorietta 4, facing the SM foodcourt. I was searching for some reviews about this store and found out that this Santouka was originally from Hokkaido Japan. The owner was inspired to put his own ramen shop up after seeing Tampopo in the 80’s just wanting to be someone who could put together the best ramen. Well, you don’t need to go in Japan just to taste the best ramen, because they opened its first store in Glorietta. Wooohooo…

We arrived at the store around 8pm and was not able to find a seat immediately because the place was jam-packed.

Ian – Honey, db si Binay yun?
RN – huh? Asan?
Ian- Ayun sa may kanan sa may dulo..
RN – Hindi sya yun, kc walang mga PSG.
(sabay tingin sa likod na puno ng pulis at PSG)
RN – uu nga honey, si binay nga yun.. Haha.

The place is a bit small but super nice, modern design accentuated with a few wooden pieces. The restaurant has two private rooms that cater your party or privacy needs.

The menu is still pretty limited (I guess they are still on their soft opening). I have no idea what to order so I asked my husband to choose my food. He picked Shoyu Ramen for me, the taste was so delicious as in probably one of the best that I've tried.

Shoyu Ramen (Small) Php 280.00

Since hubby was so hungry that time, so he tried some of their Santouka Set Menu Meals. He chose the Set A – Gyoza (Shoyu), well di namana halatang gutom na gutom asawa ko diba. Hehe.

Set A – Gyoza (Shoyu) Php 430.00

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is the best place for Ramen. I will definitely come back here for my random ramen cravings; I’d love to try a lot of other stuff from the menu too,

My mom turns 60 today. I can’t believe she’s 60 already as she doesn’t look her age at all – she looks like she’s stuck in her early 40s. Anyway, I want to share with you how wonderful my mom is which I believe every one of you could hope for, I am so lucky and blessed to have her in my life.  She always sounds happy that’s why you cannot believe that she’s now a Senior Citizen (smiling face ika nga). She’s fascinating to talk about anything and everything, as is di kayo mauubusan ng kwentuhan. Actually, there is no dictionary which have the word to describe how loving, wonderful, caring and affectionate my mother is. And isn't she beautiful? Of course, YES! To know her is to love her and I could write about her all the day.

My mom is always the first woman whom I ever loved. She is the role model of my life and a spring of inspiration for me. She always brighten up my life with tender love and care. She is the one I can count on when I need a helping hand. She is a good example of what a mom should be; we always get along so well even though sometimes we disagree in other matters.

The bond that we share means everything to me. I would be a lost soul if it weren't for all the love that she has showered upon me all my life.  Some people always tell me, “You look just like your mom”, and that’s definitely a compliment. Right mom? Parehas tayong maganda.

Today I am thanking you for being mom. I am proud to be your daughter. Whatever I am today, it’s all because of you. You have given me the priceless gift of life and love; you not only guided us while growing up but also taught us how to go alone in the super highway of life.  I owe you so much mommy. I may unable to express my love and gratitude in words but mom, you’re the BEST! You’re the best Mom a kid could ever have.

Enjoy the day to the fullest. May God bless you with all the happiness in the world. Happy Happy Birthday Mommy. I loveyou so much!!!

P.S.
Senior Citizen ka na! May discount ka na sa pamasahe, pagkain, gamot  and libre na sa sine.. Ayos!
I know I will be a good mother like you to our upcoming child, hopefully soon.

Past few weeks in Makati have been so stressful, glad we were finally able to escape everything even for just four days at one of our favorite place in the Philippines with some of our friends (Ian’s Officemates). I feel a little more refreshed, it felt good to not think anything and just live solely in shorts and tank tops for 4 days. Woohooo!!!

Fast forward, we had our early summer escapade at Davao last March 1 – 4, 2013. Actually, we already booked our flight last August 2012. This trip is different from the other trips that Ian and I had, why? Because this time I don’t know the exact itinerary. Haha. Meaning, di ako nag ayos ng trip na to! Wohoo!!! 1st time! Well, thanks to Gen for arranging our trip.

I love Tiger Airways because they depart on time, so we arrived at Davao International Airport 10 minutes before the schedule of arrival. Bravo! This is not our 1st time in Davao; our 1st visit here was way back 2009 with our F21 friends when Tropical Storm Ondoy hits Metro Manila, although we just spent weekend here we maximize our time for City tour and Day tour at Pearl Farm. This time, our Davao trip is much adventurous and extreme!

I have no idea where we are going to stay for the next 4 days in Davao, so I was surprised when we arrived at Chateau Veronica Apartelle. This apartelle is approximately 25-30 minutes from the airport. You can take public transport like jeepney and ask the driver to stop at Torres St. alongside there will be a queue of tricycles with number routes, just ask a driver who could take you to where Chateau Veronica Apartelle is or if you have extra money, take a metered taxi if you’re not up to multiple rides.

Our home away from home for 4 days.

As we enter at the Apartelle, I was surprised! Wow! It feels like “Home away from Home”. We reserved one unit with 4 bedrooms. It was indeed a perfect decision choosing this place because the staffs are flexible, easy to talk to and can extend quiet good favors, they are very warm and friendly.  The place is totally safe plus it has free WIFI! Woohooo!!!

Reception Area

The unit has a very homey ambiance. The unit is equipped with home equipment and mini-kitchen provided with dining set, complete kitchen utensils where you can make your own food at any time like what we did (we cooked our breakfast every day), fridge, gas stove and bathrooms with hot and cold shower. Wooowww!!!

This place is really recommendable accommodation for families and large group of friends like us. You can do everything just like in your own home. There is one room downstairs and one comfort room. This is the room for the boys; it has two single beds with pull-out bed underneath.

One the second floor of the house consists of 3 bedrooms and mini-sala.

The two bedrooms consist of two single beds with pull out bed underneath with aircon and cable television. They also have common comfort room with hot and cold shower too.

Jandi and Jean's Room
Tres Maria's Room (Roan, Olyn and Gen)

So this is our room, whooo!!! I guess this is the master’s bedroom because it has double size bed, cable television, small powder area and private comfort room.  Of course, our room was air-conditioned.  They also provide clean towel and toiletries.

Overall, I love the place – quite and safe place to stay for the family and friends plus you will truly feel like you are at your own home.
