Yesterday was our 9th wedding monthsary so we celebrate it at fine-dining restaurant. #sosyal. A week before our monthsary, I asked Ian what his plans on our special day and our conversation go like this.

Ian – Sa Carpaccio tayo.
RN- San yun? Baka mahal dun ha, alam mo naman nagtitipid na tayo.
Ian – Sa may Yakal, okay food dun, masarap.
RN – Natry mo na ba dun?
Ian – OO (nag mamayabang na sagot.. Haha)
RN – At kelan naman aber?
Ian -  hhhhhmmmmm… mga year 2006 pa..
RN- Waaahhhhh.. parang 7 years ago na yun, baka sarado na yun..

Carpaccio Ristorante is a fine Italian restaurant along Yakal street San Antonio Village Makati. It’s actually walking distance from Café Puro building in Pasong Tamo. We literally passed by this restaurant every time we’re going to MOA. Carpaccio Ristorante has a really good ambiance and service and I must say it was the best decision we made that night.

The place is very romantic; I love the laid-back environment that’s perfect for intimate occasions. I told my husband “Dapat ditto mo ko dinala nung valentine’s day para di crowded”. The dining area has a wide array of choices for wine and cocktails; you can also notice the kitchen which is openly viewed by diners. There are also two function rooms that would be perfect for special occasion or group meetings.

 Table Setting
(Sorry for the poor quality photos, we only used camera phone.. booooo!)

The manager helped us to choose for our orders, she is very knowledgeable of the menu; I also love all the servers because they know what they are serving and they are all attentive specially in refilling our water. Hehe.  While waiting for us to place our orders, we were first served with their freshly-baked dinner rolls that was complete with three spreads - butter and pesto, fresh tomato, butter and pesto.

Complimentary Bread  / Grissini Appetizer
I preferred to try their pasta, and according to their manager Alla Vercasacana is one of their best sellers.  This pasta is made up of smoked salmon, prawns, asparagus, cream and herbs. This dish came in as the richer and creamier kind.  Well, I can say that the taste did not disappoint.

Alla Vercasacana Php 550.00 (main course)

My husband order for Coscia D’Agnello, a lamb shank in red wine sauce with garlic, fresh herbs and tomatoes, mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meat was soft, tender and juicy.

Coscia D’Agnello Php 790.00

He also order Pizza con Funghi e Prosciutto - stuffed with tomatoes, mushroom, prosciutto, mozzarella and oregano complete in whole. Serving is good for 2 pax.  The pizza was pretty crunchy in some portions. I love their pizza because it has a good flavor balance.

Pizza con Funghi e Prosciutto Php 490.00

Overall, everything seemed honest to goodness! We loved the food from the bread and spreads appetizer to the pizza and pasta combo and lamb dish that we ordered.  Carpaccio is definitely one of the best Italian places in the metro. Although the price is a bit expensive, its super okay - great food, good ambiance and excellent service! Two thumbs up! You get ready to experience the wonderful flavors of Italy!
Happiness! ♥

Ooopppss.. while going down the stairs, we saw this cow figure with the names of the Werdenberg establishments. So cute!

So guys never miss out on the chance of visiting the cluster of restaurants placed along the street of Yakal in Makati.
