Every end of the year I make sure to write a review about what happened to me and my little family. Gusto ko kasi Makita if I/we achieved our goals for that year. Iba rin kasi ang feeling if you recall all the things happened, on how you overcome all the struggles you encounter and all the achievements and blessings that you received.

I must say that 2019 is really roller coaster ride not only for me but also for my whole family. On the 1st and 2nd quarter of the year, everything seems to be okay. Rhian celebrated her 5th birthday at school and had our staycation at Marco Polo Hotel for her simple celebration, my kids graduated from Junior and Senior Nursery (Now I have Kinder and Senior Nursery), celebrated our 1st anniversary at #TeamVillarealHome and we had our first family outing at La Luz Beach Hotel for my mom’s birthday.

On the 3rd and 4th quarter this year is one of the most challenging months for us though it proves us that having your family on your side, everything will be okay. This is the first time where I undergo blood transfusion (3 bags) because of my myoma. You want to know more about my health issue, click here. Now, I’m still recuperating and fighting at the same time.

My panic and anxiety attack this year. I thought I already overcome it after we got married, but to my surprise it comes back during the time when I found out about my myoma. Its not easy to beat the two but with the grace and glory of our Lord and my very supportive husband and family, I’m here standing and keeping the faith that everything will be back in normal, that the panic and anxiety that I am experiencing now will disappear soon.

I believe that God gave us hardships in life to test our faith and to surrender all to him. Sometimes our plans don’t work out because God has a better ones, and God’s plan is always the best, though the process is painful and hard but I always believe that when God is silent, He’s doing something special for you that’s why despite of these difficulties we faced there are lot of blessings that we received this year.

I also crossed out some of my goals in 2019 like learn how to drive (well, magyayabang lang ako na marunong na kong mag drive, di lang sya within our vicinity ha kasi nakakapag drive narin ako from our place in Sucat going to Makati and Muntinlupa. Hehe), I also crossed out about my children’s room though di pa sya completely finish but one of our main goal is to purchase bed for my kids. This is actually our Christmas gift to our children as they wanted to sleep na sa own room nila, so wish grated. We ordered for a customized bunk bed at KrazyKyle's Kahoy’s World and will deliver on the 1st quarter next year, customized kasi kaya matagal ang delivery. Sila na ang super excited! I will share some photo pag nadeliver na, promise. 😉

This year, we also purchased our bed frame. Yes! This is also one of our goals last year, ang makabili ng bed frame sa kama namin. Simple lang db pero gusto ko na talagang humiga sa kama na may frame since for almost 7 years na kutson lang kami natutulog because we are still co-sleeping with our kids, but on the 1st quarter of this year we decided na to cross out one of our goals. Finally, may bed frame na kami! Hehe. Simple lang db, pero super happy talaga kami. Kaya mas lalo akong na adict sa pagbili ng mga bed sheets. Hihi.

I also started our small business last September; I enter the world of resellers. I got a direct supplier of Gourmet Tuyo and Tinapa and sell it in the office and sa community namin. Though the income is not that much for now (well, we already reach the ROI for our small business), I know pag may tyaga, may nilaga. Kaya if you want to order Gourmet Tuyo or Tinapa, let me know. Promise masarap sya! Always fresh delivery from the Province of Lucena City!

We also started our Healthy Living Life in our family, by eating less pork and eat more fish and vegetables. Yes! There are times that we don’t eat pork for 1 week, more on fish talaga kaya nasanay narin kaming mag punta sa wet market to buy fresh fish. Malayo pa kami sa goal namin but at least this year we already started our Healthy Living Life.

Last but not the least, one of our dreams come true! Out of the country with the whole family! Yes! Hindi lang #TeamVillareal ang nag out of the country, but pati ang #LumberioFamily kasama! Grabe, this is one of my happiest moment with my family. 1st time kasi to mga besh at matagal naplan and finally natuloy rin kami. Ang daming nangyari before our flight schedule (I will discuss this on my separate post) but God is so good talaga, di nya hinayaan na di matuloy ang out of the country namin. Thank you, Lord!

I know that God gave us not perfect life, not perfect family but I believe that God knows the best for us. There are lot of lessons that we learned this year, challenges that we surpass, goals that we achieved and gain friends that we treat as a family. I know that this is not our best year but still, I want to thank 2019 for all the lessons and I believe that 2020 is going to be one of the best years ever! 2020, I’m Ready!

Happy New Year everyone!

How’s your Christmas and New Year? Bitin ba? Ikr kasi same tayo. 😊 I wish I can extend my vacation so I can spend more time with the kiddos. Medyo di ko nasulit long vacation namin since Rhian and I got sick during holiday break and that feeling is one of the worsts feeling I had so far and ayoko ng maulit ulit.

Anyway, during the times when I’m at bed (not feeling well because of the flu) I think of the things that happened to me/us for 2018 and to my surprised 2018 is one of the best years ever for my little family. We received lot of blessings, there are lots of “first” happened to us and there are less problems that we encountered. Thank you, Lord!

So let me share you how beautiful our life last year.

January

To start the year, my husband and I decided to visit Enchanted Kingdom with our little family.

We were able to watch Disney on Ice with the kiddos during my birthday celebration. This is one of my kids dream, to watch their favorite Disney characters up close and personal. Though, we were seated at lower box, the view is still amazing.

We also celebrated Rhian's 4th Birthday at the hotel. You all know that we really love staycations. :)

February

This is one of the memorable months for us, because we finally got the keys for our #TeamVillarealHome. Yes! Nakapag turn-over narin kami!

One of the romantic and unique dates we had as we joined the group date at Century Mall. We also participate in their contest and won overnight stay in one of their properties. Knowing us, Ian and I really value our marriage as we make sure to spend time together just the two of us remember our #MarriageFirstFriday, we still do it until now and promise to continue it forever. (Gumaganon pa asawa ko, naniniwala talaga sya sa Forever. Haha)

March

March is one of my favorite months because of two major things happened in this month. First, I won in the biggest loser contest here in office with grand prize of Php 13,500 which I used to purchase things needed for our new home. Second, we finally moved-in to our new home. Yes! After 30 months of hard work, sacrifices and with the Grace and Glory of our Almighty Father, we are now finally #HomeOwners and we are so excited building  our#ProjectHappyHome.  Welcome to #TeamVillarealHome

Another milestone for Rhian, as she graduated from Child Development Services Section. Though sa Barangay lang sya, we consider this as her another achievement.

April

My parents together with my sister and her daughter, Ashley spend the Holy Week at #TeamVillarealHome. I’m so happy because we were able to enjoy the facilities and I got some quality time with my parents. They are happy for us because finally we have our own home. Hindi kaya biro ang kumuha ng sariling bahay at the same paying car and house loans.

Another milestone for Rhian as she joins the Mc Donalds’ KiddieCrew near our place. I’m so happy because our daughter enjoyed the activities. Medyo sya parin sya but at least improving.

May

My husband and I enrolled our children in big school near our home. This is another milestone for our kids as they are now entering the proper schooling. Rhian is now Senior Nursery while Rhaine is Junior Nursery. I know mahaba haba pa ang pagdadaanan nila and we are not rushing nor forcing them to get high grades as we want them to enjoy the new environment and be more sociable. High grades are just a bonus.

June

As first time parents, we are so excited to witness another milestone of our kids and yun yung 1st day nila sa school nila. Read more about this precious moment here.

July

Last July 24, my husband and I celebrated our 12 years of togetherness and 6th wedding anniversary. Our initial plan is to have out of town just the two of us, but since I have board meetings to assist on the day of our anniversary, I have no choice but to cancel my leave application. So, we opted to celebrate it in a very simple way, buffet dinner at Makati Shangri-la.

August

August is one of my favorite months aside from January and July. Why? Because this month my husband and our bunso are celebrating their birthday. Rhaine turned 3 last Aug 20 and we celebrated her birthday at the clubhouse. We booked the AVR and invited some of our closest relatives and friends to be with us her special day.

This month, we also got the chance to crossed out another family bucketlist – visit to KIDZANIA. My husband decided to visit this place as he knows that our kids would love it. Di nga kami nagkamali, nag enjoy ng bongga ang mga bagets. Click here for my review about our experience in Kidzania.

Another milestone for our kids as they joined the Linggo ng Wika dance number. Yung Makita mo ang mga anak mo na nasa stage at nag pe-perform, iba pala talaga pakiramda. Nakakaproud!

September

In this month marks another milestone for our children as they experienced their first field trip activity and guess what, we joined in their field trip kaya parang naging family day out ang nangyari. Makakapagod pero masaya.

October

More food trips with my husband and my little family happened on this month. Ang hilig namin kumain sa labas after hearing mass, no need for expensive restaurant what matter most is that kumpleto kami and happy ang kids ko.

November

More food trips on this month again and more parties at #TeamVillarealHome. We welcomed some of our relatives and friends to visit our place kasi kahit sila happy for us that we have our own home plus the fact na maganda talaga yung place and nakaka relax kaya gustong gusto nilang mag visit.

December

This is the first time we’re celebrating Christmas at #TeamVillarealHome and I’m so happy that my family join us for midnight mass and Noche Buena. We had our traditional “Monito, Monita” and exchange gifts and unlimited photo session.

Though before Christmas, our dear Rhian got sick so we rushed her at Makati Med ER for check-up. Good thing her condition got stable before year ends.

Oh by the way, this year also we decided not to get another helper as our kids are starting to become independent. Well, our Yaya Van left us before Rhaine’s birthday last August to pursue her career. Mahirap na wala kang helper but thank God we still have our Tita Grace to take care of our kids.

So that’s it, there are so many reasons to thank God as we received so much blessings last 2018. Now are looking forward for more good things this 2019. I know we still have lots of challenges and hitches to deal with but we believe that as long as we put God in center of our life, we can surpass it. Thank you 2018 for everything, we are so ready for you 2019! Bring it on!

Finally we’re home! Yes! You read it right, my family have finally moved in to our own house last March 3, 2018. I got a call from DMCI last February 20 that our house is ready for turn-over and we just need to schedule our site visit for proper turn-over and punch list. So my husband and I decided to visit the place exactly on our monthsary date para double celebration.

I called my dad to accompany us during turn-over para mas macheck nya yung mga dapat icheck, you know “Father knows best!” Haha. Tska my father is one of the best electrical engineers in the whole world. Naks! Anyway, our schedule was 9am and because we are so excited to finally meet our own house, inagahan namin ang alis sa Makati. We have no idea that living in South is very challenging, brace ourselves for traffic jams within the area is something new for us knowing that we are living few steps away from office for 33 years. Di ako sanay na mag byahe ng 1 hour! But of course, on the other side of the story, I’m super happy that finally we were living on our own house and away from our comfort zone. First time to mga momshies. #WelcometoSouth

Anyway, we were welcome with the very accommodating staffs which assist us to our unit. At first, kinakabahan kami na naeexcite, this is it pancit! Our unit is located on the 5th level of the building and when you add our unit number the sum is equals to “8”. Ang galing! Ika nga nila, swerte tong unit na to. The moment we enter our unit, mixed emotions burst out. I got teary-eyed when I finally received the acceptance forms and keys of the unit, we are now officially “Homeowners”. Buying a house is something we were proud of, hindi biro ang bumili ng sariling bahay, mahabang pacensya ang kailangan baunin, matagal ang paghihintay bago ka makalipat, madaming documents ang kailangan ipasa at higit sa lahat madaming pera ang dapat ihanda. My husband and I are working so hard to make our dreams come true, every year we make sure to list our goals for the year and I’m proud to say after 5 years we finally make it - Happy family, own car, own house and investments are some of our goals in life. We cannot achieve all of these without the grace and guidance of our Lord, so we will forever grateful to him.

Moving forward, we bought 2 BR facing amenities so sulit na sulit ang binayad namin dahil sa view. My kids are so excited for their own room pero mas na excite sila mag swimming. The day of our moved-in is one of the best days ever as this is another milestone and achievement for us. Sabihin nyo ng nagmamayabang ako, pero our parents and families know kung gano kahirap ang pinagdaanan namin just to have our own house.

We just moved in to our house last March 3 and we were assisted by my very supportive dad who is with us the whole day. Nauna na kami ng dad ko together with the kids sa unit while my husband, my auntie and our helper assist the cargo. So habang naghihintay kami, my kids decided to try the pool! Yes! Unang araw palang namin sa place, nag swimming na agad sila. Hindi rin sila excited db?!

Prior to our moved-in, my husband and I decided to do shopping. Ang sarap mamili ng gamit lalo na kung gamit sa bahay. Not all our things are new, meron rin kaming mga dinala from our previous house, some of our wedding gifts nilabas narin namin kaya mostly yung mga major nalang ang need naming bilhin which is honestly will take some time pa, medyo madami pa kaming bayarin. So for now, we are enjoying the amenities, the place itself and our new home. We are not rushing into buying new stuffs as we need to align our budget versus expenses, and we both know na paunti-unti muna hanggang mabuo namin ang #ProjectHappyHome.

Moving to south is something new to us - waking up 2 hours earlier than the usual, travel time, traffic, additional expenses for the gas, toll fee and parking are some of our big adjustments not only for us but also for my kids as they are now waking up as early as 6am (morning sun unit). Nevertheless, we are enjoying the facilities like clubhouse, playground and of course the pool na halos araw-araw nag swi-swimming ang mga anak ko. I love how the developer maintain its high standards and security of the homeowners, di na kami masyadong mag wo-worry sa mga kumukuha ng bata or sa mga bad people because we have 24/7 roving guards and cctv’s in the area.

Night view from our balcony. :)

Ever since we moved-in to our new house we welcome our families, relatives and friends to visit our home. Nakakataba ng puso every time we heard compliments about how delighted they are for us kasi may visions kami in life, na at this age we achieved some of our goals and continuing to reach our dreams in life. Honestly, our parents are very proud for us as they even tell our stories to their friends about how we manage to stay humble while receiving so many blessings from God and how we were able to accomplished our dream home on our own. Nakakataba ng puso sa bawat “Congratulations”,  “Nakakatuwa kayong mag-asawa”, “Nakaka proud kayo”, “Ang galing nyo”, hearing those compliments from other people makes us happy. Super happy!

Our weekend family bonding :)
Our place is quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. You can sit back and relax while watching your loved ones in the pool, or you can have a picnic at cabana (which we always do every weekend) or rent the avr for some small private gatherings like what we did last weekend. I really love our place, worth it lahat ng pagod, pag titipid, prayers and sacrifices to have this dream house on time. Truly, there’s no place like home.

Before we got married, Ian and I decided to live on our own. This is our mutual decision, we want to experience living together with just the two of us and at the same time, there are no space for us in my parents’ house. Maliit lang bahay namin and I don’t have my own room. His family naman is living in the US na so they don’t have their own house too, they just live with their relatives in Manila and like us, the space is very limited. As we started our journey as husband & wife, one of our dreams is to have our own house, hindi mo kailangan ng malaking bahay as long as own the house, that is much important. We don’t have enough money to buy house and lot during our first year as husband and wife; we rent a house in Makati where we started our little family. For years, we pay Php 10k monthly for the house excluding the utility bills and other expenses per month, so imagine gano  kalaki ang gastos namin. Until we realized na pinapayaman lang daw namin yung lessor namin and at the end of the day, hindi naman mapapasaamin yung bahay.

Late last year when we avail 2BR unit in a mid-rise building somewhere in Sucat, We bought it in pre-selling kaya mas mura pa sya, although the turn over date will be on April 2018 pa, ngayon palang we were so excited on how our happy home looks like. What I love living in the mid-rise residences is that they have outdoor and indoor amenities which our family will enjoy every day like the  pool, gym, game and lounge area, function hall, entertainment room, basketball court, picnic area, children’s playground, pool deck and club house.

Now can you imagine how excited we are in decorating our future home? During my break, I started searching for the designs/peg that I want, halos maubos yung lunch break ko kakatingin ng mga pictures, now look at these photos, nice db.

Now take a look at the kids' bedroom, we prefer to have double deck since we have two beautiful girls and masikip if tig isa pa silang single bed right. We will use the other space for the study table and other stuffs. I also wanted to have a colorful room for them, maybe pastel rainbow color para naman malamig sa mata. Well, good luck to us sana when the time comes matupad namin yung mga plans namin sa bahay.

This is one of the reasons why my husband and I are working so hard for our family. Time really flies so fast, bukas makalawa sa Sucat na kami nakatira.

Note: All photos are grab at the internet. :)

Being a mother of two girls with very small age gap is so tiring, challenging yet fulfilling. I have two kids ages 2 years old and 9 months, both beautiful like me of course but with different personalities. Ganon naman talaga eh, iba iba ang mga ugali ng mga magkakapatid. Solet me share with you on how I/we handle two kids at the same time, kasi I know mapapasabi rin kayo na super mom ako. Naks!

Rhian is planned pregnancy, while Rhaine is a surprised blessing from God. I got pregnant with Rhaine when Rhian was only 11 months old. Yes! Ganon sya kabilis nasundan, I heard lots of chismis about my 2nd pregnancy but I don’t care, baby is always a blessing right, whether it is planned or unplanned, it’s one of the greatest gift from God and hello, kasal naman kami  ng asawa ko, so anong problema dun and isa pa hindi naman sila ang gagastos at mahihirapan sa pagpapalaki ng mga anak ko. Haha. Anyway, moving forward, we faced lots of trials and problems last year but thank God we finally overcome it with hold hands. Thanks to my very supportive husband who never left me.

Everyday our house is full of joy and happiness, given na super kalat ng sala and kwarto namin especially now 2 na silang naglalaro, so imagine ang gulo ng bahay namin. You can see their toys everywhere you go, mapa CR nga meron eh, but kids will always be kids. Minsan lang sila maging bata kaya I let them explore everything. So how I handle this kind of situation? Okay let me start, during weekdays I wake up at 6:30am (but before, nung wala pa kaming yaya I woke up at 4am to prepare for breakfast), I prepare our baon (Yes! Nagbabaon kami ng lunch para tipid), I prepare my daughter’s food (gusto ko kasi ako ang nagpre-prepare ng food ng mga bata), I prepare their clothes to wear for the day, I prepare their milk and make sure na na-sterilized na yung mga bottles and may water ng laman and I prepare their vitamins, once done na lahat dun palang ako mag aayos para pumasok. Thank God hindi naman ako nalalate. Hehe.

Even though I work for 10 hours a day, I make sure na nababantayan ko yung mga anak ko. If you will ask me pano ko ginagawa yun, well we decided to put CCTV cameras in our house. Yes! May CCTV buong bahay naming since Rhaine was born, except sa CR and kwarto namin (papalagay palang kami) and once na umalis na ko ng bahay, naka open na CCTV application on my cellphone. So every time meron akong nakikitang hindi okay sa bahay, I call them and get their attention or sometimes, nag aala-Big Brother ako kasi nagsasalita ako then naririnig nila. Yes! Ganon ka high-tech yung CCTV na kinuha namin. We invested in CCTV for our kids because we wanted to monitor every actions that they will take lalo na pag wala kami sa bahay. aba mahirap na noh.

Best Friends Forever!

Anyway, I got home by 6:40-7pm then maglalaro muna kami ng mga kids then luto na ko for the lunch the following day. Yes! Hands-on ako when it comes sa food na kakainin namin. I want to make sure that everything is clean and healthy. After that, we will have our dinner then lilinisan ko na yung mga kids (My husband is in-charge in taking care of them sa taas) and then ligpit ng ibang kalat sa bahay. Yes we have kasambahay, but I want to help them kasi syempre I know pagod rin sila the whole day and para mas madali kaming matapos and maaga kami makapagpahinga. Then, pag nasa taas na kami, we will start playing again -singing, dancing, seesaw, habulan and reading time. So approximately one hour quality time with the kids then by 10-10:30pm, sleeping time na, sometimes nasasabayan ko na sila sa pagtulog dahi lsa pagod kaya minsan nagtatampo na husband ko kasi we don’t have any quality time together pag nasa bahay na kami because we’re too busy in our kids, kaya what I do para hindi ako makatulog habang nagpapatulog ako is kinukurot ko sarili ko. Hehe. I woke up at 3am para magpadede sa 2 bata and check if they're okay. So laking ginhawa sa akin kung makatulog ako ng 4 hours straight.

Having Rhian and Rhaine in our lives is PRICELESS. Whenever I’m sad, I just looked at them then all my fears went away. They are my pride and honor and whenever I saw them crying, it really breaks my heart. Lalo na ang babaw pa naman ng luha ko, imagine minsan nga sumasabay pa ko sa pag iyak nila, I thank God that my husband is there to comfort me.

Rhian is a very sweet and loving ate to Rhaine, every morning as she wakes up she immediately kissed her sister and smile. Walang  mintis yun, the moment Rhian open her eyes, kapatid nya agad ang hahanapin nya and tatabihan nya. Rhaine is a happy and sweet little baby, she always wear her killer smile. Actually ang dali dali nyang patawanin at pangitiin, mag smile ka lang sa kanya and she will smile back to you, yun nga lang pag sya sinumpong ng inis, ayun parang wang wang sya kung umiyak.

Rhian is very particular when it comes to her things. She has a favorite pillow na kahit kaming magulang nya ayaw nyang ipahiram, although pag nag staycation kami hindi namin dinadala yun pag uwi naman sa bahay, ayun yung pillow na yun ang hinahanap nya agad. Rhaine loves bolster, yun yung lagi nyang kalaro pag nauuna na syang gumising sa amin. I don’t know why she loves it, sometimes I caught her biting it lalo na this moment na nasa teething stage na sya, kala mo kaaway nya. When it comes in sleeping habit, they are the same kasi they are both super likot. Oh by the way, before I forgot, ayaw ni Rhian and Rhaine ng may kumot kasi hindi sila makagalaw masyado,

When it comes in taking a bath, they are the same. They love water but they don’t like na mabasa yung ulo nila. Yes! You read it right, parehas silang naiyak whenever na bubuhusan namin sila ng water sa ulo, ayun iiyak na sila. But they do love to swim, I allow them na mag swim sa bath tub pero mga 15-20 minutes lang. For the food, they both love vegetables especially sayote. Can you believe that Rhian doesn’t eat meat, chicken or pork? Rhian only loves vegetables.

Now, let’s go to the physical look, you can see naman their difference. Rhian has a straight hair, while Rhaine has curly hair,  Malaking bulas si Rhian while Rhiane has a slim body; Rhian is morena while Rhaine is fair complexion, magkaiba man sila physically, they consider each other as best friends. Ang sarap lang tingnan at pagmasdan na lumalaki ang mga anak ko na magkasundo at nagmamahalan. I have no regrets in my life na nasundan agad si Rhian kasi the happiness that they brought in our life is incomparable and PRICELESS.

Whenever I look at my kids I realized how blessed I am to have them, this is my life now. Nanay na ko ng 2 magaganda at malulusog na bata and they are my priority now. We are working so hard for them to have a better future, our weekend is for family kaya minsan hesitant kaming sumama sa mga lakad ng friends na hindi kasama ang mga bata. Even in our #MarriageFirstFriday, yung mga bata parin ang topic namin eh, minsan I told my husband that God is so good to us because even though he gave us trials and problems he still love us. I thank him for all the blessings that we have now, a loving husband, our own family, own car, own house (move-in very soon!), very supportive family and friends, stable jobs, enough money for our leisure, saving funds for our kids and lastly, for the unconditional love from my husband. I don’t entertain negative vibes, kasi I’m too busy working on our future plans.

Now if you will ask me if we still have plans for another baby, the answer is YES! But not in anytime soon. My husband and I agreed to have 3 kids, maybe after 5 years para naman maenjoy muna namin yung 2 bagets and remember, I’m still taking maintenance medicine for the blood pressure. Hopefully, yung ika 3rd na baby namin, baby boy na para quota na kami, but for now we are enjoying our 2 lovable babies.

Note:
We love Twinning! This is one of the perks of having 2 beautiful daughters! Thanks to my in-laws na laging nagpapadala ng magkaparehas na damit. :) More twinning post soon!
