Certified Wife Cooked: Barbecue Rice

You already know that I really love weekend, more bonding with my husband and baby-to-be and of course, it’s time to try another new recipe. Yipeee!!

I got this recipe at Del Monte Kitchenomics and happy to say that this dish is so easy to prepare. So are you ready? Get a pen and paper, write down the ingredients and procedures and let’s start cooking!

Ingredients:

300 grams Pork Lomo (Tenderloin) sliced into thin strips
2 tbsp Margarine
½ cup of mixed vegetables (frozen or cooked)
½ tbsp. Iodized Fine Salt
Cup of Plain Rice
Mama Sita’s Barbecue Marinade (I used Mama Sita instead, since Del Monte Quick n’Easy BBQ Marinade is not available at Shopwise)

Procedures:

1. Marinate pork slices in Mama Sita’s Barbecue Mariinade overnight. Drain and reserve marinade.
2. Saute pork in margarine over high heat for 5 minutes or until cooked.
3. Add mixed vegetables, marinade and ½ teaspoon iodized fine salt. Allow to simmer.
4. Add rice, cook for 3 minutes with continuous stirring.
5. Serve Hot!

According to my ever loyal husband, super sarap daw! And as usual, ubos ang sinaing at ang niluto ko. Hihi.  Easy steps right? So what are you waiting for? Prepare the ingredients now and enjoy cooking!
