Hotel Review: One Tagaytay Hotel Place Suites

Our initial plan for our 1st year wedding anniversary is to visit Thunderbird Resort in La Union, but since I got pregnant, we decided to change the plan. I was advice by my OB to refrain from travelling not until our baby is in stable condition. (Remember on my previous post that 1st trimester is the most crucial stage in pregnancy).

A week before our anniversary, hubby and I discuss about our plan b for our special day. Of course, we want to make it memorable since it’s our 1st wedding anniversary but the only difference is that we promise not to splurge too much money. Well, the most important above all is we spent our special day together, right?!

I have an appointment with my doctor for my monthly pre-natal checkup in Makati Med three days before our anniversary. My husband asked my doctor if I am allowed to travel in Tagaytay, happy to say that my OB permitted me. Yahoo..

Ian – doc, pwede po bang mag byahe misis ko papuntang tagaytay?
OB Doctor – Yes, pwede naman. Ang hindi lang pwede yung pupunta ng Boracay, Palawan, etc.

After we got our permission with my doctor, my husband and I looked for the best hotel in Tagaytay which offers cheaper price but with a class. We read some reviews about every hotel we choose and check with our budget. Surprisingly, as we check One Tagaytay Place they have special promo (Save as much as 50%off on published rates when you book from July 15-September 15. Valid for 2 person’s with set of breakfast). Wow! As we saw this promo, Ian booked Deluxe Double Room from July 24-25 on the spot.

Fast Forward.. After his anniversary surprise at home, we immediately left Makati and travel for about 1.5 hours to reach Tagaytay City. Check-in was allowed by 2pm, so we decided to explore the tourist spots first. (will post it separately). One Tagaytay Place is very accessible and easy to find. We arrived at the hotel at exactly 2pm, the employees are very accommodating and friendly.

Reception Area

The lobby is too small for a hotel, but I love the environment – very homey. While I wait for my husband to arrive, I notice that the dining area is located also in the ground floor. Parang di ata bagay na nasa lobby rin yung restaurant nila. #justsaying

Complimentary Drinks

One staff assists me at our room, nagpapark pa yung asawa ko eh. Then I told him if he could help me to put our stuffs inside, I am not allowed to carry heavy loads due to my condition. I’m happy because he congratulates me for our wedding anniversary and for being pregnant. Wow! Thanks Kuya! I was surprised when I saw our room, it’s not as I expected to be, okay fine! Sabi ko na nga ba, di dapat masyadong naaamaze sa pictures. Waahh.. But it’s okay, as long as our room is clean and offers good service, its fine with me.

Deluxe Double Room is approximately 26sqm with Queen size bed and Sofa. The bed is very comfy; the pillows are smooth and clean plus the comforter is dense which protects you on the cold breeze of aircon. Btw, they have a very functional aircon. Super lamig kahit na tinaasan na namin yung temperature.

They provide LCD TV with Cable Channels, writing desk and a bible. Wow! I’m so impressed to see a bible in our room. We felt that God is with us during our stay.

The cabinet is huge, wherein we found two pairs of slippers and bath robes.

Slippers

Now, let’s proceed with the comfort room. Honestly, they have a small comfort room compare to other hotels in Tagaytay but happy to see that they are generous in providing towels in their guests.

Towels

They also provide each guest a complete set of toiletries. (Shampoo, Soap, Toothbrush and Toothpaste)

The mini refrigerator, 2 complimentary bottled water and coffee/tea set were found on the right portion of the room near the entrance door.

Oh, I love the sofa. It’s so nice to relax here. This is where my husband stays when he waits for me while preparing our stuffs. Our room also has balcony, but unfortunately you couldn't see anything just buildings next to our hotel.

Mini Sala

One Tagaytay Place has a swimming pool with overlooking Laguna wherein you can dip and relax while looking at the beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, we didn't try this amenity because of lack of time. Boooo!

Overall, our stay in One Tagaytay Place is awesome! Btw, we joined in their contest sad to say Ian’s entry was only chosen as one of the top 3 in Instagram category.

Hopefully, on our next visit here we should try their One Bedroom Suite. ^__^
