Tapa King

After we visit our exhibit in SM Novaliches, we had our dinner at Tapa King in Alpha Land. As we all know, Tapsilog or any silog is a very popular Pinoy breakfast, although it wasn't breakfast time, it didn't stop us from ordering the sweet old fashioned tapa. For your information, the first tapa king "hole in the wall" store was born on 1987 in Gallardo St., Makati.

Ian ordered for Tapa King, a tender beef strips marinated in a savory sauce cooked in grille served with atsara and fried egg. The sweet tapa is cooked in pieces of just right side, the egg are also well-cooked; it was delicious especially when you dipped in their home made vinegar.

Tapa King Php 129.00

I chose to try the Tapa Joe, a tender beef strips marinated in herbs and spices also cooked over a griddle served with fried egg, atsara (pickled vegetable) and garlic fried rice. The size is not too long nor too short and at just the right thickness; surely not too tough kind. This food is just right up my taste.

Tapa Joe Php 115.00

For drinks, I opted to try their Mango Shake. Well, I got disappointed since they just put an ordinary powder mango juice mixed with crashed ice. Ggggrr...

Mango Shake Php 50.00

Just a little reminder, don't expect big servings here; the price tag is justified, affordable and really a mouth-watering Filipino comfort breakfast food. Good thing in this restaurant is to take advantage of its low-priced by ordering lots of different things.
