It’s just an ordinary day last Thursday, when I received a text message from my Fiancée and asking me for a dinner date. Wow! At first, I refuse his offer because I want to cook him his favorite dish, Siomai but he insists to have dinner outside. After I fetch him at their office we immediately walked along Makati Ave until we reach XO Kitchen in Jupiter St. X.O Kitchen seemed like a new restaurant to me in the few times that me and Ian passed by Jupiter street.

As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a courteous staff with his big smile and assist us to our seats. The interior of this place is amazing, the bright lights and big windows of X.O Kitchen attracted me to try out the place. I love the huge picture of the dragon facing us, the quality of furniture and great colors are really fantastic. Well, according to some review, this is a chinese restaurant but for me it doesn’t look like chinese place.

On the walls were pictures of the food they have in their menu. Although the place looked small compared to other restaurants along Jupiter Street, they totally maintained the cleanliness of the area. There was ample parking slot which is advantage to the customers with car. The menu is overblown; there are too many choices, different varieties of food but prices are quiet reasonable.

I give Ian the authority to choose our dishes, since he already tried this restaurant with his officemates. He ordered Salt Pepper Spareribs for me. There is no extra special with this dish, just ordinary spareribs.

Salt Pepper Spareribs Php 130.00

He ordered Beef oyster Sauce for him but upon seeing him eating I know he is not satisfy with his order. Haha.

Beef Oyster Sauce Php 140.00

He also adds Fried noodles with Seafood; I love their noodles really tasty should I say.

Fried Noodles with Seafood Php 150.00
We ended our dinner with lots of picture taking.

Happy 62nd monthsary!

September 24, 2011 Saturday, Ian and I decided to celebrate our monthsary at Mall of Asia. We planned to watch My neighbor’s wife but unfortunately it was replaced by other movie. We have no choice but to watch “Abduction”. After watching the movie, Ian opted to have our dinner before going to his driving class. I suggest trying Tokyo Café again because I really love their crepe.

As soon as we enter the restaurant, the cozy and warm ambiance welcomed us. The staffs are very accommodating and attentive, they don’t have a pen and paper to get our order instead she remembering everything. Wow! Ian ordered the Chicken and Cheese Roll as our appetizer, deep fried chicken fillet stuffed with mozzarella cheese rolled in bread crumbs. I really love the melted cheese inside. It’s just heavenly I swear!

Chicken and Cheese Roll  Php 260.00

Then we added Chicken in a basket (Trio), Japanese style crispy fried chicken served with gravy.

Chicken in a basket (Trio) Php 210.00

For our dessert, he chose Choco Strawberry Crepe – strawberry slices with strawberry sauce, whipped cream, strawberry ice cream, drizzled with choco syrup.

Choco Strawberry Crepe Php 115.00

Overall, we really had good time in Tokyo Café and promised someday we will visit this restaurant again.
