One of the happiest day of my life is when Ian asks for my Father's permission to marry him. Seeing the two men closest to my heart talking about my future makes me realized that I'm so blessed for having them in my life.

I smile after hearing this song, because some lines was used by Ian to convinced my Dad about his intention to me, specifically the words highlighted below. ^_^

Complete Lyrics: (by Brian McKnight)

Sir, I'm a bit nervous
'Bout being here today
Still not real sure what I'm going to say
So bare with me please
If I take up too much of your time,
See in this box is a ring for your oldest
She's my everything and all that I know is
It would be such a relief if I knew that we were on the same side
Very soon I'm hoping that I...

Can marry your daughter

And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die, yeah
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
Can't wait to smile
When she walks down the isle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter

She's been hearing for steps

Since the day that we met (I'm scared to death to think of what would happen if she ever left)
So don't you ever worry about me ever treating her bad
I've got most of my vows done so far (So bring on the better or worse)
And tell death do us part
There's no doubt in my mind
It's time
I'm ready to start
I swear to you with all of my heart...

I'm gonna marry your daughter

And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die, yeah
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
I can't wait to smile
As she walks down the isle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter

The first time I saw her

I swear I knew that I say I do
I'm gonna marry your daughter
And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
I can't wait to smile
As she walks down the isle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter

After the proposal, we decided to join our friends in photoshoot. We agreed not to tell our friends about the proposal because we believe that when it’s time to announce our engagement, we want it traditionally by announcing it to those people closest to us like our parents. Honestly, I want to let people know about our engagement as soon as the ring is slipped on my finger but Ian might want to keep the moment private a bit longer.

Since we keep our secrets with our friends, we act naturally until Ruel suggests having pre-nup in the beach. Wow! (He has no idea about the proposal) This is it! What a coincident having a pre-nup right after the engagement. Haha. So here are some of our FREE-nup courtesy of our dear friends Ruel and Otep!

The final teaser / draft invitation..

Credits to them! Thank you guys! Now, we’re looking forward for our next FREE-nup session!

Before going on a Boracay escapade, we all agreed to include some exciting activities in our list like helmet diving and ATV.  So on our 2nd day at Boracay, we chose to headed off for our first activity; helmet diving or some people called as reef walking. I already tried this activity the last time we went in Boracay way back 2009 and honestly, I really enjoyed it.

So after negotiating about the price, they give it Php 400.00/person since we’re 6 in the group including CD of photos and videos. Helmet diving involves going 15 feet underwater with 15 kilos of helmet that filled with oxygen. In this subaquatic activity, you were given 20 minutes to enjoy underwater, walked on the reef while playing and feeding different kinds of fish. You may also do photo ops or anything you want to do under the sea. Haha.

Ready for our 1st activity!

At first, I was doing so well until the water level in my helmet. I admit that I can’t breathe naturally, but as our instructor told us “Do not panic, just relax and breathe naturally”. He also added not to tilt the helmet and remember the sign language. But as soon as I reach the sand, everything is going smoothly.

Do I look Scared?

Lovers under the Sea..

Okay!

Anybody can do this exciting activity as long as you follow directions and are brave enough to go underwater for some time. We really enjoyed dancing, pose for pictures, feed all sorts of fishes and just simply admire the view under the sea. It’s exciting and fun!!!

The following day, we got the CD copy of our photos underwater and a short video clip of this exciting activity.

And for our next activity, we agreed to try ATV ride, this is one thing I looked forward to for our Boracay Trip.  Our tour guide gave us fair price for this rice, Php 300.00 pesos then additional entrance fees for Tanawin Luxury Apartment worth Php 50.00. You also have a choice whether you want to visit Everland Aviary Farm additional Php 30.00 or Mt. Luho, additional Php 100.00.

We are all excited to see Boracay island in 360-degree view. The ride is very challenging, there are instance that one of my friend accidentally hit the sidewalk. After 20 minutes, finally we reach Tanawin View Point wherein we gave 30 minutes to enjoy the scenery. This Luxury Apartment can see the overlooking Bulabog Beach and Caticlan Island.

This exciting tour is to see the highest peak of Boracay, the scenery was breathtaking, and the breeze was cold even it is summer time.

Overall, Boracay offers fun and exciting activities ever! This is one of the best places wherein we forget all our worries and just enjoy our quick yet memorable summer getaway.

P.S
Other popular activities are jet skiing, banana boat rides, kite boarding, and island hopping.

♥ I just got engaged! ♥

Getting married is a journey and the road leading to marriage starts with the engagement. Traditionally, men propose to their beloved girlfriend with an engagement ring (1 piece of diamond ring), a practice which the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians started since according to them it symbolizes an everlasting love.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this to happened, but I know every girl feels like what I did. Unlike most couples, we’re already started planning our wedding event before there was any formal proposal, we already attended Wedding fair twice and even search for the church and venue via internet. I really get emotional while reading some beautiful wedding preparations, about their romantic love stores and unusual proposals. Well, after all the whole excitement of planning a wedding starts when the men propose to his soon to be wife. I dream to have a simple but romantic, unforgettable and unique wedding proposal ever since, because I want every girl desire what I had been experience.

I assumed Ian will ask me to marry him during our 4th year anniversary at Hong Kong since it was our 1st time together for an out of the country tour, but I’m wrong! He didn’t! Haha. Well, lesson learned, don’t expect too much! Haha. Instead, he said to me that everyone else would have an engagement ring, but he felt that I deserved something more unique and romantic wedding proposal, Wow! But I told him that a simple proposal suits well for a long-term relationship like us.

So here is the story on how Ian proposed to me. (cheezzy moment..) April 27, 2011 Wednesday, our 3rd day in Boracay when he ask me to marry him. Early morning when my friends Otep and Ruel decided to explore the resort, so Ian and I left behind inside the room. That day we planned to have our pictorial session, so after we dress up we opted to start our photo ops. Our first destination is the veranda, overlooking the white shoreline of Boracay. Like other photographers, Ian has hard time in getting the right set-up of camera when the subject is against the light and yes I’m his subject. He told me to sit down at the barrier for him to test his camera settings; it took almost 5-10 minutes for the trial and error which makes me irritable. Duh, it’s not easy to sit down while facing the heat of the sun and smile, but Ian told me that it’s not even easy to set up the camera. That time, I really feel upset because I want to relax and go off with that heat!

Then, after a few minutes Ian approach me and whisper not to get mad. He also explains that he only wants to have beautiful photos of us. But during our conversation, I insist him to just sit down beside me and start our photo ops until he holds my left hand, knelt in front of me and present a small box with a ring and whispered “Honey, Will you marry me?”. I was totally shocked, I don’t know what to say, I don’t know how to react and I was surprised! I feel so overwhelmed with so much joy until I finally said “YES!” I cried, hug him tightly and tell “Iloveyou so much honey! Thank you!” Now this is the right moment to take our relationship to the next chapter.

Newly Engaged Couple.. (This is where he propose!) ♥

Weeehh!!!.Station 1 here we come! Yes! We were fortunate to stay at Boracay Terraces Resort which is located at Station 1 where lot of nice bars and dining spots around but a bit of a long wake to the night clubs and busy bars. As soon as I read this ad, I immediately called my friends who will join us in this trip for approval before getting this deal. Then finally, after convincing them we decided to get one for our trip. The highlights of this hotel is that it is situated on the northwestern tip of Boracay Beach just around the corner of Diniwid Beach and Boracay Terraces is the first resort in station 1 that offers beautiful accommodations that are truly beach front.

Honestly, I’m so excited to spend my 3 days and 2 nights at Presidential Suite in beachfront on Station 1. Well, this is the best way to relax, get away from the city life, desire for a place to escape and leave all the stress behind. The resort consists of 15 spacious rooms with balcony overlooking the alluring white beach, mountains and feels the tropical wind touching your body.

From Villa Rhazel Resort, we ride tricycle going to Boracay Terraces and paid Php 100.00. Upon entering the lobby, they give us welcome drinks, refreshing orange juice.

Then after few minutes, one staff assists us in our room (TAJ A). The room has 1 king size bed, very spacious and very well maintained, it is actually for honeymooners according to them. Nyahaha. Well, the room is good for up to four to six people since they have mini sala beside the bed. The room has also refrigerators, cable television, coffee and tea, lamps and huge closest with hangers.

Our Sala / Dining Area
Before I bought the deal, I make sure to review about the place specifically if they offer nice, huge and clean comfort room. Well, they are all correct! The comfort room is clean, big with bath tub and complete set of toiletries like soap, shampoo, tissue papers and even bath towels. I simply love their comfort room.

Bath Tub
TAJ A room also have dining area where you can eat and relax while watching in cable television. It is also equipped with an all glass front look wherein you can get a sea view in your bed. Since they only have 2 suites in the whole hotel, there was plenty space infront of each room that allows you to have a great deal of privacy and perfect view of scenery, very spacious and very quiet place.

They also provide housekeeping even without your advice. But if you want special request, you can simply approach any of their staff. Boracay Terraces has Restaurant that offers scrumptious but pricey food. They also have massage for Php 350.00/hour upon request.

We had a lovely stay here, the staffs are friendly and very accommodating they seemed like they are all one big family that’s why you’ll absolutely feel that you’re welcome and part of their family.

So as I promise, I make a review regarding our room accommodation for 1 night, yes! 1 night only because we’re going to stay at Boracay Terraces for 3 days! This resort was actually referred by my dear friend Ruel who is one of our companions in this amazing trip. Villa Rhazel Resort is located at Station 2 near D’Mall. A new 2 floor building with bright orange frontage, situated directly on the lane of the famous white beach.

View from Veranda

This resort offers affordable room rates which is suitable for a family, group of friends, or even couple. Like other hotels, Villa Rhazel offers basic room amenities like clean bed, air condition, cable television, mini refrigerator and of course, comfort room with hot and cold shower plus what makes our stay more enjoyable, is that they have a nice veranda for a perfect sight-seeing of the beach. (Sad to say that they don’t have generators.. )

Each room has a stylish and state-of-the-art design, they also offer good quality features but sad to say again, they have poor services and the staffs are not that accommodating. We got the Family Aircon Room which is good for 6 pax since its peak season, they charge Php 4,000.00 but upon asking for a discount (remember, we checked in late), Ms. Remy decided to give us discount. Wow! We only paid Php 3,500 instead of Php 4k. Well, the rate of their rooms changes depending on the season like lean/low season (June – October), Peak Season (November – May) and Super Peak Season which falls during Christmas, New Year and Holy Week.

2 Double Beds

Comfort Room

Since we’re 6 in a group, we decided get 1 extra mattress. Overall, I recommend this place if you are not socialite. Cheaper price plus beach front solve our day 1 at Boracay!

Summer! Summer! Summer!

I’m back! Yes! I had so much fun at Boracay for 4 days with Ian and our F21 photography friends to relax and enjoy the heat this summer. Actually this was unplanned trip; let me share you the story behind this trip. I’m in the middle of searching for the best summer vacation last March 9, I saw a link stating that Zestair has a special promo or so called “ Zest Day Wednesday” for all domestic flights for only Php 499.00 one-way with travel period of March –April 2011, Wow! I immediately informed Ian about this promo and seek for his approval; of course we need to know how much money we need to spend for our trip. It’s not easy to avail promo online, sometimes the dates you want doesn’t have promo. So after I received Ian’s consent, I started to search for the best dates for us to travel, I even check one by one starting April and look for the discounted price until I reached the last week of April. Yahoo! Can you imagine we only pay Php 2,064.00 for two, Thanks Zest Air for the promo!

Since it so much fun to travel with friends, I immediately sent a text message to our dear friends Otep and Ruel about this advertisement. They are also excited about this deal and immediately grab the promo, unfortunately we had booked different flight time schedule but still okay since we are going to spend 4 days at the white beach!

And finally after Easter Sunday, our much awaited trip came, March 26 is the day! We’re off to Boracay! Yahoo!!! Our flight scheduled was at 12:10pm but since we are both excited for our trip, we were already at the old domestic airport as early as 10:30am. Whoa! This is our 3rd time in Boracay and still the excitement rise up to the highest level. I remember the 1st time I went in Boracay, I don’t even had a chance to sleep because of eagerness to see the white sand, well its way back 2008. Then our 2nd time in Boracay was during our 3rd year anniversary. Sweet!

Anyway, back to our present trip. We already checked in our baggage for less hassle and decided to roam around the place and take lots of pictures; I also enjoy surfing the net and let people know that I’m on a long vacation! Haha. Around 11:45am the boarding was started.

Boarding Time.. :)

We arrived at Kalibo airport around 1:05pm after 55 minutes of flight, and then took a 2-hour land ride from Kalibo to Jetty port in Caticlan and another 10 minutes boat ride to the island of Boracay! Whee! Then, for us to reach Island Nook where we need to stay for overnight, we need to travel another 10 minutes ride to hotel.

Welcome Kalibo!

Upon checking our room (I’ll make a separate post for Villa Rhazel) we decided to take some rest, merienda and take lots of photo ops.

♥♥♥

Around 9:30pm our friends arrived at hotel and opted to take our dinner at Big Mouth. The food was great, tasty but pricey. After dinner, we decided to take group pictures.

All Boys.. ^_^

Our first day in Boracay is really tiring but wonderful feeling. At the end of the day, we are all busy thinking for our activities for the following day.
