Certified Wife Cooked: Ginataang Mais

I love weekend so much, this is our quality time together as husband and wife. Although, every day is also our quality time but for me weekend is more special to us. Why? It’s time for laundry day, more bonding moment by watching television together, clean our house, siesta time  and most important whole day kaming magkasama! Hehe.

Since we decided to stay at home last Sunday, I prefer to cook my husband a special merienda before we go to church. Naks! So this time, the certified wife cooks Ginataang Mais. Wohooo!!! Super dali lang syang gawin, yun nga lang need mo ng matibay tibay na braso sa paghahalo. Hehe.

Ingredients:

1 cup of coconut milk
¾ cup of glutinous rice (malagkit)
1 cup whole kernel corn
4 cups of water
¾ cup granulated sugar

Procedures:

  1. In a pot, combine glutinous rice and water. Simmer to boil until tender. Stir occasionally to avoid sticky on the pan.
  2. Add the coconut milk. Stir the mixture to prevent the glutinous rice from sticking.  Let it boil.
  3. Add the whole kernel corn and sugar. Simmer for 15-20 minutes and stir thoroughly.

  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm or cold.
  5. Share and Enjoy!
