It’s been 2 months since Rhian’s 1stBirthday Bash and until now I am not finish with the review for the suppliers. Sorry, I need to rest for 2 weeks and follow my OB advice. Anyway, I will make this post very short and let the pictures speaks for itself. :)

Finding a venue for Rhian’s birthday is super difficult for us. Di ko akalain na mas mahirap pang maghanap ng venue for the kiddie party kesa sa maghanap ng venue for wedding reception. Haha. Why it so difficult? Kasi limited lang budget namin and iniisip namin yung mga guests, kung saan sila convenient. So I thank my parents for supporting us lalo na sa paghahanap ng venue. My mom is a teacher for almost 35 years and dahil sa tagal na nyang teacher marami na syang kakilala na alam nyang tutulong sa amin. That’s why we were able to book Lakambini Hall in Villamor Airbase kasi yung dating principal nila is asawa ng retired colonel.

You need to a sponsor to be able to book any function halls inside Villamor Airbase kaya super thankful kami kasi pumayag maging sponsor yung husband ng former co-teacher ni Mommy. Our initial plan is to book the Aerospace Museum, unfortunately may nauna na samin mag book dun kaya we have no choice but to book the Lakambini Hall.


Lakambini Hall can accommodate 150 pax. The aircons are all working, the kitchen is clean, there are separate comfort rooms for boys and girls plus according to the caretaker of the function room, bagong renovate daw yun.


Parking is not a problem since it can accommodate 20 cars plus you can also park outside the hall. What I like in lakambini Hall is that hindi sila mahigpit sa oras, you can use the function room for whole day. By the way, we only pay Php 3,500 for the hall. Not bad na db.

So if you are looking for the venue for your kids party, try to visit Villamor Airbase. There are many function rooms to choose from.

Hello Guys, How are you today? Me not feeling well. Super na stress kasi ako saka-meeting ko eh. I will make kwento sa inyo the whole story later, but for now let me share with you our weekend story na mixed emotions. Yes, hindi naman lagi happy moments ang weekend namin eh, dumadating  talaga sa point na may mga situations tayong hindi natin inaasahan.

Anyway, last Saturday my husband and I decided to visit Makati Med for my check-up. We want to make sure that Baby Bunso is okay. Medyo paranoid lang kasi ako sa mga nabalitan ko lately especially about kay Mariel Rodriguez and Jopay. Condolence L So para matahimik na yung pag iisip ko, I had my 2nd ultrasound. We arrived at MMC around 10:30am and my name was called by 12:30pm. So ganon kami katagal naghintay dahil sa dami ng tao. My OB is also my sonologist kaya alam na alam nya kung anong nangyayari sa akin, when it’s my turn I was so nervous kala mo 1st pregnancy eh kaya my OB doctor called my husband. My doctor explained about our baby bunso’s condition. Good naman yung result but not expected lang, kaya medyo sad ako to the point na I almost cry. Medyo technical yung explanation ni Doc basta she told me that I need to take 2 weeks bed rest.

That very moment, sobrang sad ako kasi I expected pa naman na malalaman na namin yung gender and everything is okay, we just need more prayers and I need to rest my body. I remember when we had our lunch at Tokyo Tokyo umiiyak ako habang kumakain (parang baliw lang ang peg) but my husband and Rhian comfortedme. Ian told me not to worry too much kasi makakasama lang kay baby bunso, instead I need to follow what my doctor told me, to rest and to eat a lot!

After my ultrasound and check-up, my husband decided to stroll around SM Aura kasi ready for pick-up narin yung binili nyang accessories for our car. Kahit na nasa mall kami, I can’t stop crying. Oh noh! Ako na ata ang best actress of the year. Thank God, I have a very supportive husband and family. Since medyo tuliro parin ako, my husband decided to try Ramen Nagi, mukhang nag crave sya eh so I have no choice but to say YES kahit na wala ako sa mood kumain ng Ramen. Thank God, tulog si Rhian kaya nakakain kami ng maayos, When Rhian woke up, together with her Daddy naglakad lakad muna sila sa may sky garden. Looking at my daughter’s face na super saya, nawala yung worries ko in life. I told myself na I need to be strong for baby bunso, kasi sakin sya kukuha ng lakas.

Moving forward, when I decided to go home na kasi medyo pagod narin ako, my husband told me that he wants to try the DIY Magnum and since nag crave ako sa ice cream, I said YES again. Sya naman ang magbabayad eh. Hihi.

That day was full of emotions, malungkot, worried pero masaya. I thank the Lord for all the blessings that we received, I know that baby bunso is strong, I just need to follow the instructions from my OB and I know everything will be okay soon.

Anyway, about sa ka meeting ko. I went to our office dahil sa meeting na yun (take note ha, I was advise for complete bed rest) but since that meeting is very important, pumasok ako. But sad to say, nag message yung ka fb ko telling me to resched our meeting. What the F*CK?! Na highblood talaga ako, to the point na sinned ko pa sa kanya yung medical certificate ko telling na I’m bed rest but I need to meet them because of that important meeting then sasabihin resched nalang. So db nakakainis yun. Anyway, I will meet them after holy week para matapos na yung mga dapat tapusin,

Vacation is over, now back to reality. Well, 4 days is not enough for vacation, super bitin sya. My husband told me na sana daw 1 week yung pinabook namin para talaga nasulit namin yung Boracay Escapade namin. I will make kwento sa inyo pag medyo nakaluwag luwag na ko (alam nyo na naman pag mahaba ang bakasyon, tambak ang trabaho.).

Long before corporate social responsibility and volunteerism became a buzzword for brands and corporations, The Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf® has already made it an intrinsic mission and company philosophy.

It’s a commitment that they took on back in 2008, when they started the Give In To Giving, 12 Cups with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® campaign, an initiative designed to share this mission with its loyal customers.

“It began by taking something that was relevant to customers at the time—the “planner craze,” if you will— and creating something more meaningful that could be an extension of our commitment as a brand to giving back. What spurred out of this intention was a Commemorative Notebook that became a medium for us, and our patrons, to support advocacies in need and share their blessings. It was and continues to be the only journal that encourages more purposeful action towards ones’ social responsibility,” explained Paolo del Rosario, Vice President for Marketing of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®.


Customers were asked to collect 12 stamps and choose from any of the 12 advocacies and organizations that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was supporting. These ranged from women’s groups, to children, animals, the environment, indigenous people or those with disabilities and illnesses. Completing all 12 stamps meant the customer could bring home the commemorative notebook that featured artworks from contemporary Filipino artists and proceeds collected went to each customer’s chosen organization. The original artworks featured in the covers of the Commemorative Notebook were also auctioned and were donated to the charities.


The entire campaign was such a success that not only was it well received by loyal patrons; it also won numerous awards.

The following year, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® introduced its follow up with 24 Cups of Goodwill, where proceeds from the campaign were given to its 24 partner organizations. In 2010, for Changing Lives with Every Cup, they shifted their focus on sending scholars to school by partnering with Real Life Foundation and their Adopt-a-Scholar program, where the company was successfully able to send 8 scholars to university.

In 2012, they continued their efforts with the iBuild campaign, which helped raise sustainable housing solutions for impoverished families. And by 2014, they introduced the Brew Your Best Year campaign, which evolved their efforts into giving back to their loyal patrons by helping them give back to themselves as well. Through this initiative, they hope to help each person in their journey towards becoming the best version of themselves.

Their efforts through the years prove how a brand can become meaningful in addressing social change.
