Mommy Diaries: Family Comes First – Always

I’m proud to say that we are hands-on parents to our children even we are both working. Ian and I have an agreement that every weekend, we will not entertain other activities not related to our family matters (well, not unless super emergency sya and required na puntahan) since our weekend is for the kids.

We want our kids to explore things and let them enjoy their childhood stage, kasi nga hindi mo namamalayan na ang bilis ng panahon and kids nowadays are growing up so fast. So if you’re following me on Instagram alam nyo na every weekend nasa Circuit Makati kami. Yes! Andun kami lagi during afternoon, nagpi-picnic (Yes! Nagdadala kami ng panlatag and food and dun kami kumakain ng merienda) , nagbi-bike, nag ba-badminton and lie down while enjoying looking at the trees and clouds. Ganon lang kami every Saturday, we just enjoy each other’s company and let our kids run within the area.

 Family
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Rhian and Rhaine are happy kids; everybody loves them kahit nga mga officemates namin tuwang tuwa sa kanila eh, sometimes they even want us to bring the kids sa office at sila nalang daw muna ang mag aalaga. They love each other very much and we witness how Rhian took care of her little sister, kahit na minsan may topak si Rhaine, hindi naman nya nilalabanan yung isa. Before bedtime, we make sure that we pray as a family. Hindi pwedeng hindi kami sabay-sabay magdadasal and we give each other a good night kiss while saying “I Love You Mommy”, “I Love You Daddy”, “I Love You ChingChing” and “I Love You Rhaine”. It’s our biggest achievement as parents that we taught our kids a good manner.

As parents, we are responsible in raising our kids properly. I’m not a perfect mother, my husband is not perfect father but we’re the best parents for our children. I’m guilty that sometimes I shouted my daughter and even spank her if she’s doing wrong, but at the end of the day I explain to her about what happened and why did I do that to her. I make sure that she understand it clearly, madali ng makaintindi ang mga bata ngayon kasi matatalino na sila.

My husband and I agreed that we should focus on taking care of our kids when we got home. Kung baga kami na sa mga bata while our yaya is preparing our dinner. So automatic yun na pag uwi namin, play time with the kids na. We make sure that family comes first – always. Every Sunday, we attend children’s mass at NSSH then after that, daretso na kami sa mall, sometimes we let our kids play at the Kidzooona, halos lahat na ata ng branch within Metro Manila napuntahan na namin eh. The smiles of my children is priceless, ang sarap sa pakiramdam na makita yung mga ngiti nila, maybe because every Sunday lang talaga kami nakakapag mall.

Pag nasa mall naman kami, our favorite tambayan is the Toy Kingdom. Since hindi naman kami madalas bumili ng toys for them, dun nalang namin sila dinadala para maglaro. Guess what? We stay there for almost 2 hours! It’s okay, as long as my kids are enjoying the place, okay lang kahit tumagal pa kami ng ilang oras.

Sometimes pag may budget, we booked one room at any hotels here in Metro Manila. In short, mahilig kaming mag staycation. We want to relax and be with our kids for 2 days, pag ganon kasi hindi namin sinasama yung yaya as we wanted to be private sometimes. Iba parin kasi pag may ibang taong kasama, masyadong naka dependent sa yaya pag ganon. Or sometimes, pag tight ang budget, nasa bahay lang kami nag mo-movie marathon then I prepare merienda for them. But since Traveloka gave me discount, we decided to have our staycation at Alabang this weekend. Woohooo,,, :)

At the end of day, I always thank the Lord for giving me a beautiful family, maybe I must have done something right to deserve such a beautiful and amazing family in my life and the blessing God has given us; our two lovely daughters. I always told other people that the smile on my face doesn’t mean my life is perfect rather it means I appreciate what I have and what God has blessed me with.
