Our Journey Towards Parenthood: Welcome to the Christian World, Rhaine Sophia

We welcomed our bunso to the Christian World last October 25, she was 2months old that time and super liit pa, mas inagahan namin yung pag papa binyag para mailabas na namin sya and maipasyal. (sabi ng mga oldies, you know.) Our initial plan is to have a special / individual baptism meaning solo lang namin yung place and it will held on Saturday like what we did kay Rhian, unfortunately fully book ang buong October and November nila so we have no choice but to booked the Mass Baptism with 3 other babies. By the way, we only paid Php 900.00 which includes Baptismal Certificate and 2 principal sponsors. (Special rate: Php 2,500.)

We heard mass by 10:30am followed by the Baptismal Ceremony. The downside of having a Mass Baptism is that super liit lang ng place to accommodate 3 babies with ninongs and ninangs. I mean, yung iba na kasabay mo is super daming invited, lahat sila andun sa loob ng hall so tendency nun is yung ibang sponsors mo eh wala ng maupuan. Hayz. Plus the fact na medyo nagmamadali yung priest kasi may Mass ng 12noon. So if ever on our 3rd baby (after 5 years. Hehe), pagkapanganak ko palang magpapa booked na ko for the individual baptism. Hahaha.

Anyway, moving forward… Here are some of the shots during the ceremony.

So now, let’s go at the Reception. Our initial plan is to book at Max’s Restaurant, again like what we did to Rhian’s baptism. But we were shocked when we saw that the packages are so mahal na. I mean, we didn’t expect na ang laki ng increase nila so we decided to book nalang a place and caterer.

We looked for a place na near lang ng area namin, meaning within Makati lang para hindi hassle sa mga visitors na pumunta right after the rite. We visited Carmona Complex, Sta. Cruz Barangay Hall and Makati Coliseum and after checking the site, finally we opted to book at Makati Coliseum. Bukod sa malaki na sya, mura pa and halos 3 tumbling lang sa bahay namin.

For the caterer, we booked Osio’s Catering. This is owned by our friend, Archie Osio and family so we got a special rate for this one. Thanks Archie! Our package includes 30 pieces mini tag souvenirs, 30 pcs invitations, Balloons on Stick, Backdrop for the Baby (3x5ft), Designed Cupcake Tower (36 pcs) and 3 Layered Diaper Cake and Diaper Cake Centerpieces with Balloons. And since friend namin sya, Archie gave us 30 pcs of souvenirs and upgrade our set-up. Yehey!
