Resort Review: Club Balai Isabel

Last May 12, #TeamVillareal goes to Club Balai Isabel in Talisay. Batangas. Well actually it’s our company’s summer outing the following day and we decided to go there in advance (since kami rin naman ang kinuha for photobooth and para narin maexplore namin yung place).

Club Balai Isabel is just 1.5 hours’ drive from Manila. This is one of the famous places for celebrity weddings like Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto, team buildings and summer outing. We arrived at the place by 12 noon and since our check-in time is 2pm, we decided to take our lunch at Terraza Café.

The food at the Terraza Cafe was so pricey yet the food is so-so.I can’t believe that we pay almost Php 1,000 for 2 main dishes and 5 plain rice (believe it or not, the plain rice cost Php 50/each) well, you have no other choice since sila lang naman ang restaurant sa loob so for our dinner we decided to buy Andoks outside the resort. Mura na masarap pa!

We still have 1 hour left before our check-in time, so my husband and I decided to roam around the place. We only used his mobile phone kasi super hirap mag take ng pictures if you have two toddlers in tow.  Club Balai Isabel is a quite paradise that offers an up-close and personal view of the lake and the world’s smallest volcano. Here are some of my favorite photos which I find very interesting.

Club Balai Isabel also have shuttles that can take you around the place but if you want some exercise, you could just walk around the place, don’t worry because there are a lot of trees inside the resort to protect you from the heat.

We had a chance to visit the Spousal of Mary and Joseph Chapel inside the resort. This quaint church is perfect for intimate weddings, very solemn and beautiful. The natural lighting complements the beautiful wooden interior of the place. We pray and thank the Lord for all the blessings we received and asked for his guidance every day.

The club is quite big with several pools, the Terraza pool which is their infinity pool with overlooking taal volcano, the Kumintang pool which I think their biggest pool and where my kids stay most of the time and the Talisay pool which located in the secluded garden.

They also offer water sport activities like kayaks, jet skis and pedal boats and the newly open Aqua Park where you can enjoy their gigantic inflated water slides. Club Balai Isabel is not just about adventure. It is also about relaxation as this place is the perfect escape from the city. You can rent a bike and roamed around the place while enjoying the nature.

We went back at the registration area were we welcomed by friendly staff and ushered to our room. We were assigned at Agoncillo bldg. just a few steps away from the Terraza pool. We booked for Superior Room with view so we can enjoy the scenery of the resort and the lake on our private veranda. It can accommodate up to 4 pax and good thing we brought our own mattress (inflatable single bed) for our yaya.

The room that we got was spacious, clean and facing the lake. It has two queen-sized beds; the mattress on the bed was firm and soft. The sheets and pillow were clean and hygienic, they also provides blanket for each bed.

There’s a small balcony with enchanting full view of the lake. The room also equipped with kitchen where you can cook your meals (however, on our room there’s no basic utensils) and mini refrigerator with complimentary bottled water and coffee, telephone and flat screen television. The aircon was working very well despite the heat during that day kaya napasarap tulog namin.

Now let’s proceed with the comfort room. There were basic toiletries in the restroom such as shampoo, conditioner, lotions, toothbrush, soaps and toothpaste. Clean towels and toilet tissues are also provided. There’s only one huge cabinet in the room where you can place all your things.

This beautiful and serene paradise is definitely the best summer destination in the south! If you’re going to ask me if I will come back here, definitely YES! But I will make sure to bring some food with us and magluluto nalang kami.

His 2nd proposal. Of course I said “YES” again. Yiihiiii..

Oh by the way, Club Balai Isabel is also perfect for marriage proposal. You just need to find perfect place on where to pop the magical question.
