Hotel Review: Citadines Salcedo Makati

We love staycation, my children are so happy whenever I told them that we are going for staycation. My husband is so lucky when his name called as a winner of an overnight stay at Citadines (sya na ang swerte sa raffle), and so we decided to use it for Rhian’s 3rd Birthday.

I experienced hard time in booking this apart’hotel. In fact, I followed all the steps in the voucher however, their customer service didn’t accommodate our reservation in time. Imagine, I emailed them 1 week before our booking dates but I just got the confirmation 1 day before our check-in. (Kung hindi pa magagalit asawa ko at magsusumbong sa HR nila, hindi pa nila bibilisan ang pag rereserved ng room sa amin.) I hope they improve the reservation process so that people with complimentary vouchers will not experience the hassle like what happened to us.

Citadines Apart’Hotel is managed by The Ascott Limited, a member of CapitaLand. It is the largest International serviced residence owner-operator with more than 290 properties in 100 cities across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. It operates three award-winning brands, Ascott, Citadines and Somerset. The location is perfect, it is closely to Citibank Tower, Paseo De Roxas and Ayala Triangle and actually near in our office that’s why we are familiar with the place and the restaurants around the area.

Our check-in was a breeze; the staffs are attentive, friendly and reliable. Our assigned room was at the 12th floor and you need an access card which is also your door key to access guests’ rooms. Our booking includes breakfast for two (at The Frying Pan restaurant), we are expecting for a buffet breakfast but sad to say they offer plated plates instead. Citadines are very strict when it comes with the number of guests and please take note of this - strictly no party allowed. (We should respect their rules and regulations, as we have other neighborhood beside our room) so I guess this rule is acceptable. Sino ba naman ang makakapag relax kung ang katabing room nyo is super ingay. Right?

We were assigned at the Studio Room with 32 sqm.  The room is spacious, clean and very refreshing because they put oil diffuser in the room. It has a queen size bed with soft pillows and comforter, 2-seater sofa, flat screen TV with cable channels, work and desk area, Wi-Fi, iPod docking station with radio, alarm clock, telephone, in-room safety deposit box, iron and ironing board.

The room has a fully equipped kitchen such as cooker hob and hood glassware and utensils, microwave and mini refrigerator. The room is well ventilated as the air-conditioning has individual controlled thermostats.

Now let’s go to the bathroom, Citadines provides clean and soft towels and complete set of toiletries. There is also hair dryer and standing raining shower.

The infinity pool is located at 9th floor wherein you can enjoy the scenery of Makati while enjoying the Jacuzzi.  We were not able to roam around the area as we need to prepare something for our mini celebration. I’m happy that the pool is now open upon our check-in. (The pool was close for 2 days for maintenance)

Over all, it really feels like home. Rhian told us that she wants to have a house like this. Now, we already got some idea for our future room because of this staycation. In fairness, namaximize nila ang space kaya I love it.

Since this is a complimentary voucher which my husband won last Christmas party raffle, I am not quiet sure how much it will cost per night, but I believe that the price of the room is very reasonable and affordable.
