2015 Christmas Celebration

We had a very intimate and simple Christmas Celebration. Since I am the head chef of the family, I prepare the entire menu for the Noche Buena. Mas madali magluto if naka prepare na yung mga ingredients that’s why I told my tita to help me in preparing the things I need. Here’s our Noche Buena last Christmas.

Baked Macaroni, Oven Roasted Chicken, Pizza Roll, Cake, Macaroni Salad, Fruit Salad, Ham, Quezo de Bola

As our practiced, we attended the Christmas Eve mass at National Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to pray and thank the Lord for all the blessings we received and of course to welcome the birth of Jesus.

After the mass, my family went to our house to celebrate the Noche Buena. We share the food I prepared, then our traditional “monito – monita” and exchange gifts. Look, who’s excited to open her gifts? Thank you Ninangs, NInongs, Titas and Titos for the presents.

Then, morning of Dec 25 well hindi na nga ata sya morning kasi mga 10:30am na kami nagising, Haha. We had our lunch at my parent’s house and since Christmas Day is for kids, we treat our children at the mall. Although every weekend naman kaming nasa mall this time with our parent’s and relatives.

Si Ate, inaasar na naman si Bunso.

We decided to roam around Mall of Asia pero grabe ang daming tao as in. Buti nalang nakakuha kami agad ng parking or else baka abutin kami ng syam syam sa parking lot. Not only that, when we enter the mall mas doble ang dami ng tao, well it’s Christmas Day kaya for sure lahat ng family nasa mall to relax and unwind. We opted to stay at French Baker and had our merienda, while Ate Rhian is so happy with her new playmate –Ate Zia.

I let my daughter ride in the carousel since every time we visited MOA hindi pwedeng hindi sya sasakay sa carousel.

Around 8pm, my family decided to have our dinner at Aristocrat but unfortunately pang 23 pa kami sa pila! O san ka pa db?! So my dad suggests trying Aristocrat in Roxas Blvd since super laki daw dun and for sure maa-accommodating nila kami. We arrived at there by 9pm and happy to say na nakaupo kami agad but the service is so bagal. Well, intindihin nalang kasi pasko nga and super dami talagang tao so we waited for about 30-40 minutes. O db super late dinner na kami.

We arrived at our house by 11:30pm and ayun plakda kaming lahat lalo na ang 2 bagets. It’s okay to get tired as long as we were all happy, keribells na yun. Now, we are looking forward for 2016 Christmas celebration kasi for sure by that time 2 na silang mag o-open ng gifts plus the fact na 2 na silang sasakay sa carousel.

How about you? How do you celebrate the Christmas Day? Can you share it with me? Thanks!
