For this month, we agreed to have a simple celebration with the family at home. My mom cooked pancit malabon and bought lechon, puto and cake for her apo while I cooked lumpiang shanghai.

My husband as our monthly treaty, he called Red Ribbon for Rhian’s birthday cake.Since tinatamad lumabas at mag drive ang asawa ko, nagpadeliver nalang sya. Haha.

Of course, pwede bang mawala yung picture taking with the fambam?!  Look at ourbaby girl, enjoy na enjoy sya sa new high chair nya (c/o Mothercare).

On the afternoon, we attended the mass at NSSH where we were blessed by the priest. (July wedding anniversary and Birthday Celebrant) then we had our dinner at Glorietta. Simple pero masaya.

Note: We decided to have a simple celebration monthly since we’re preparing for her 1st birthday!

After our photoshoot at Baby Shower in Alabang, we opted to have our merienda at ATC. Napagod kami kakapatawa kay Rhian eh narin and since we don’t have enough energy to stroll around the mall, I told my husband that we should tried new restaurant that we saw at ATC that’s why we decided to try Johnny Rocket’s.

The first time I heard about Johnny Rockets, I was thinking that there’s nothing special about it and very expensive as in mabubutas ang bulsa mo dito. But since it’s our monthsary narin, kaya gora na kami sa pag order. I asked Ian to order for us since he was craving for burgers and di naman kami mapili ni Tita eh. As we enter the restaurant, I got amazed with the place because the interior was designed with 60’s vibe, like a casual retro ambiance. There are vintage and classic posters all over the place, a big jukebox at the side (near entrance) and small jukebox on the side of each table where in you can insert one peso coin to pick a song then it will be played in the restaurant. In fact, my husband drop a 1 peso coin but unfortunately as the waiter approached us, sira daw pala yun. Haha. Sayang. -_-

The crews are in classic white shirt, shorts and hat and to add up to an amazing dining experience, they perform song-and-dance number, so while waiting for our orders naaliw naman kami sa kanila. Well, the dancers have so much energy and always give it their all every time they dance. Mukhang walang kapaguran sila kakasayaw. Hehe.

The menu does not have the “diner” price range though kaya medyo hirap kaming pumili kasi super mahal. Haha. #akonaangkuripot. Buti nalang at si Ian ang pinapili ko, or else baka mag mineral water nalang ako. Haha. My husband ordered for Rocket Fuel. The servings were huge which includes cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, onion slice and special sauce. Their hamburger patties are a full 1/3 pound of fresh, 100% pure imported ground beef seasoned and grilled tenderly.

Rocket Fuel Php 320.00

He ordered Club House (Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato) for us. It consists of crisp, thick bacon, fresh lettuce, ripe tomato and mayonnaise. The food was great and the serving was enormous but for the price it becomes very unattractive. Nagkukuripot na naman. Hehe.

Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato Sandwich Php 300.00

Ian adds Rocket Wings Solo, a tasty and tender chicken wings served with choice of their specialty sauce. We chose Sweet Barbeque.

RW Solo Php 245.00

What’s a visit to a diner without milkshakes, right?! So my husband ordered for Chocolate Banana Shake. Their shake was made with premium vanilla ice cream and malts are blended with real powdered malt. For Ian, it was the best tasting milkshakes that he ever had. Well, for me the taste was actually very good. It’s creamy, thick and tasty; it’s something different and new that you might want to try out for yourself.

Chocolate Banana Shake Php 275.00

A piece of advice, if you’re planning on dining at Johnny Rockets make sure you have enough budget in your pocket. Medyo pricey kasi eh, good thing I just received my incentives that week kaya pasok sa budget ko yun. Hehe. Well, I believed in the phrase of “you get what you pay for”.

Overall, staffs were friendly and entertaining since we enjoyed watching them dancing, the food were okay but if you would ask me are we going back? Not anytime soon. Ipon mode muna ulit. Hehe

This week is the most exhausted for us. Why? Because our ChingChing is not feeling well for 4 days. Booo!!! But now, she’s healthy and no more fever. Thank You Lord! Best anniversary gift sa amin ni Ian. I will share with you our sentiments during this week and kung anong findings ng pedia nya sa kanya. I hope this post will help you as a 1st time parents/mommies out there, sorry medyo paranoid lang ako since I am a 1st time mom.

It was started last Sunday, after hearing the mass at Landmark and shopping galore with my family I notice our daughter na medyo matamlay and as a Mom I check her condition and worried too much. Di naman sya nilalagnat or something basta matamlay lang sya, so I thought baka pagod na sya kakagala. When we arrived at home, masigla na sya ulit that’s why I told my husband na napagod lang talaga si ChingChing (that’s what we called her sometimes, short for Tabacgingching).

Around 10:30pm, as I embraced her nafeel ko na super init nya as in parang may lagnat. I told Ian to check her baka naman kasi paranoid lang talaga ako but he told me na mainit talaga anak namin and may lagnat. I checked her temperature and I got 37.8 meaning she has a low grade fever (sinat) and as her pedia told us napag nag 37.8 temp nya is painumin agad ng Tempra. So what we did is pinainom namin sya ng gamot and monitor her temperature. That night, di ako natulog as in todo bantay ako sa kanya and every 20 minutes I need to check her body temp and write it on a piece of paper. I also notice na lagi syang nag popopoh, so lalong nag worry kaming mag asawa.. The following day, I decided to stay at home and file Emergency leave since I need to bring my baby at the hospital for further check-up, her pedia’s initial diagnosis was Roseola Infantum, a mild illness by a virus infection most involving young children from 6 months old up to three years old.

@ Makati Medical Center
High Fever. :(

Her pedia gave us pedialyte (oral solution designed to replace fluids and minerals that are lost when a child has diarrhea), she also gave us vitamins and anti-dehydration. Plus, she told us to monitor her body temperature and instruct us to come back after 2 days for blood test and urine test. Gusto kasi ng pedia nya na ma clear sya sa dengue or uti, mahirap na kasi may lagnat sya for 2-3 days plus nagtatae pa.

On our anniversary day (Thursday), Rhian’s schedule for blood and urine test. Thank God, the results are okay. She has no fever at all but the rashes spread to her neck, face, arms and legs which according to her pedia it’s normal because once the fever subsides and when the child is recovering, a red rashes appears.  Well, the rash is not contagious according to her pedia. Kasama daw talaga yun sa virus which will last from 3-7 days. Binigyan nalang nya kami ng medicine for itchiness. Roseola Infantum usually does not require antibiotics and there is no specific vaccine against or treatment for this visus, mawawala rin naman daw syang kusa.

Get Well Soon Baby Love

But for now, I thank the Lord for healing our daughter. She is now doing good and super kulit na ulit (kahit naman nung may sakit sya ang kulit kulit parin). Look at her; she really enjoys her new toy.

Happy 8 years of togetherness and Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary! It's been a blissful married life with you Honey!

Thank you for everything, for taking care of me and baby Rhian, thank you for loving us unconditionally. 2 years of married life is not easy for us and not perfect, it’s like a roller coaster filled with so many exciting twists and turns. It’s an adventure only worth taking with you. This year hasn't been easy at all; you will agree with me that this anniversary feels like a milestone of sorts. Marami tayong napagdaanan, pero still nalagpasan natin hawak kamay. You had been with me, for better or worse, in sickness and in health (remember, nakita mo ko kung pano ako nag labor for 9 hours!) Hehe.  Parang kelan lang nung kinasal tayo, nag one year anniversary and now tatlo na tayong mag cecelebrate. Ang saya ko super!

This anniversary is a little different. It is not one of extravagant celebration; we opted to cancel our out of town and staycation because we need to bring our daughter in the hospital. Iba na talaga ang priority natin ever since Rhian came into our lives, but you know what wala man tayong engrandeng celebration what more important is gumaling na si Rhian and magkasama tayong 3 as a family, Ikaw, ako at ang anak natin. I cannot ask for more because this is what I wished for, to have my own happy family.

I admire your faithfulness honey since not all husbands are like you; you are a rare find that’s why I treasure you. Ika nga nila, endangered species ka na. Hehe. Anyway, the more I learn about you, the more I love you and I’m very happy learning all these years. Marami akong na discover sayo na di ko nakita during 6 years na bf/gf tayo, may panget pero mas maraming maganda. For sure marami ka rin naman nadiscover sa pagkatao ko right?! ^_^

Honey, I love spending each day with you and baby rhian. I love waking each morning with you guys on my side and I still love spending time with both of you after all these years because for me every day is a happy day.  Kahit na marami tayong problema basta magkasama tayo, lahat kakayanin natin. Honey, you are not perfect husband for me and you know that right, but you are perfect father to our daughter and I’m so thankful for that.

I love you more than yesterday and I will always love you for the rest of my life. Thank you for being my lifetime partner and thank you for accepting me as I am and not trying to change me, kahit na parati mong sinasabi na laging mainit ulo ko, andyan ka parin sakin at iniintindi ako, salamat sa napaka haba mong pacensya honey. Salamat talaga.

So today, I wish more years to be with you and to grow old together. More more love, life and happiness for us! Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary Honey! I love you!

P.S.
May mga nagsabi at nagrerequest na sana daw sa 3rd wedding anniversary natin, meron na daw little Ian. (Baby Boy daw! Para quota na!) Waaahhh!!!

Perks of having a daughter is you have a human doll. Ang sarap ayusan grabe! Ang sarap bilhan ng mga kikay clothes, shoes and accessories na kahit mas mahal pa sa damit namin mag asawa, gora lang basta comfortable and makes my daughter more beautiful ayos lang.

Anyway, last July 12 we attended the 1st birthday of my friend's daughter at Mc Do Greenbelt 1. This is actually Rhian's 1st birthday party event, aba nakiki party na anak namin. Hehe. Ang saya ng feeling na may baby ka ng kasama every time na pupunta ka sa children's party, ah basta iba pakiramdam. PRICELESS!

Since I'm a stage mom (naks!) I make sure that my daughter will look beautiful on that day (kala mo sya may birthday). So here is Rhian's OOTD!

Dress: H & M
Jacket: H & M

And now after receiving good comments after posting here photo, I decided to put a portion on my blog wherein I post rhian's outfit of the day.. Ikaw na anak ang may fans club. #ProudMommy

P.S.
Thanks to my in-laws in US for Rhian's outfit

My husband and I really love to eat, in fact mas gusto namin kumain ng kumain kesa bumili ng gamit pansarili. Anyway, another super duper late post, di ko na nga matandaan kung kelan to but this is our impromptu lunch out together. (Sorry, epekto ng major anesthesia ang pagiging makakalimutin ko. Hehe)

Ian invited me to have lunch at Simplé Lang restaurant that was featured on Kris TV. We are so curious about it and we wanted to know how it is different from other Filipino restaurant. Simplé Lang is located in the middle of the restaurant row in Ayala Triangle which is super lapit lang sa office namin pareho kaya gorabells na kami. Since it’s already lunch time when we arrived, expect the long queue of people waiting for their turn. It took more than 15 minutes for us to get seated and another 15 minutes before our food arrived. I love the place because it was quiet interactive, ang kulit kasi ng mga nakasulat eh. Nakakatuwa.  “I’m so like Gutom na, let’s Eat at Simplé Lang, there are also hash tag written on the windows as well as their fb page wherein you can tag/post your pictures in their page.

Simplé Lang offers simple and delicious Filipino food in a unique way. The restaurant has a high ceiling with drop-down red lamps. Para nga syang restaurant ng coca-cola kasi naman red and and black yung theme, but you know what, I love it.  Hehe. It has a second floor and table outside for those who prefer al fresco dining.

Anyway, as we arrived the staff handed us their simple menu and their complimentary hot bowl of their chicken broth. It’s unlimited so you can ask for another bowl throughout the meal. The soup was good and tasty, salamat at nainitan rin yung sikmura namin.

Simple Menu Book
Free soup :)

I love how Simplé Lang labeled their condiments, ang galing ng nakaisip nito. So meet, “Sossy Pati” and “Toyo na, Suka pa”. Hehe.

Let’s go with the food we ordered. I want to try their Fresh Lumpia Rolls, a vegetable-filled spring roll with muscovado sauce, sprinkled with garlic and sesame peanuts. The vegetables inside are crispy and yummy plus I love their sauce, malasa sya promise!

Fresh Lumpia Rolls Php 95.00

Ian ordered for Crispy “Broken” Okoy with Sukang Iloko. I love it since it was crispy and tasty, samahan pa ng napakalasang suka. The best talaga!

Crispy “Broken” Okoy Php 75.00

He chose to add Spicy Pusit, it wasn’t spicy at all but I really liked the wait it was presented.

Spicy Pusit Php 195.00

Overall, I highly recommend Simplé Lang very affordable, nice ambiance, and the dishes are so good or should I say quiet simple.  Oooppss. I forgot to say, there are still things that should be worked out like the service, medyo mabagal ng unti eh. I understand naman since it was soft opening when we arrived, but for me it was definite must try!
