I miss posting my OOTD every day. Alam nyo super duper to the highest level ang busy ko lately since I'm a hands-on wife to Ian and mother to Rhian plus sabayan pa ng stressful work (lilipat kasi kami ng office this July) kaya eto patakas lang ang pag susulat ko. Hihi.

Anyway, promise if I have some spare time mag post pa ko ng marami kong OOTD (naks! lakas ng loob ko noh, walang pakielamanan, blog ko to eh. Hehe).

This is my outfit during Rhian's Baptism. I need a very comfortable and accessible dress/outfit that day since I am a breastfeeding mom. Yes! 5 months and counting, breast milk parin ang iniinom ni Rhian, look at her super healthy and awa ng Dyos di nagkakasakit.

Last May 20, we celebrated Rhian’s 4th month and my sister’s 25th birthday at Dampa Seaside Macapagal. We had a very simple dinner together with my family.  You know naman na we do celebrate “month birthdays” with just simple celebration.

So this super long overdue na and I’m so sorry for that, I’m so busy to the highest level sa work and sa bahay alam nyo naman full time mom and wife ako  and at the same time I have a full-time job. So imagine kung gano ako ka busy. Hehe.

Anyway, after we heard mass at Padre Pio we had our late lunch at Serye outside Eastwood Mall. This restaurant offers dishes that are basically Filipino and since it’s already past 2 in the afternoon there were few customers inside the store. The interiors was made to be cozy for family gatherings, the servers were very attentive and courteous.

So let’s go with the food that we ordered. My husband ordered for Kare-Kare which according to the waiter one of their best sellers. Kare-Kare is the classic stew of oxtail and tripe in a rich peanut annatto broth which serve with shrimp paste. The sauce has a flavorful taste of peanut that I was looking for in a kare-kare sauce, kaya yun ang unang naubos sa amin. Hehe.

Kare-Kare Php 345.00

Then, he also ordered for Barbecue Duo 1 which includes 2 pieces of chicken barbecue and 1 stick of pork barbecue served with peanut sauce, java rice and atsara. The chicken barbecue is so tender and juicy, and it’s just a perfect combination with their peanut sauce. This plate is enough for us knowing we’re group of four ha.

Barbeque Duo with Java – Php 285.00

Then we got Pork Sisig with Egg to share. Part crispy, part chewy and all around delicious, my husband likes this and for him it was also a bit salty. It was served on a circular sizzling plate topped with onions and crunchy chicharon bits with a side of chili sauce, a perfect match with the steamed rice. Overall, the sisig satisfied my cravings.

Pork Sisig – Php 270.00

My husband ordered for Laing, well, I don’t eat laing di kasi namin nakasanayan kainin to eh at dahil di nagluluto tatay ko nito before but according to my husband and MIL, super sarap daw ng laing.

Laing – Php 200.00

Last but not the least, we got the traditional side dish -  Ensaladang Manga Hilaw at Kamatis. No need to explain the taste kasi it was so good.

Ensaladang Manga Kamatis – Php 55

Overall, Serye is a wonderful place to enjoy food with family, the prices might not be really all that affordable but with the food and service, it is enough to keep one satisfied.

After roaming around the hotel, we decided to take our late lunch. Yes! Almost 2:30pm na kami nakakain ng lunch and super duper to the highest level na ang gutom namin. We went outside the hotel to look for restaurant until my husband decided to try Project Pie which is located along Commerce Avenue just across Acacia Hotel and Westgate Center.

Ian and I were first timers so we have no idea about this place so I told my husband to just order me.  As soon as we entered the store, the first thing I saw was a giant menu card which was very helpful to us because it gives us the idea of DIY pizza concept. Hhhmmm. Interesting right?!

Project Pie is a self-service restaurant so it can get muddled during peak hours, so a piece of advice better reserve a seats before lining up order.  The interiors are very casual with bar stools, open ceiling which matches the white and black ambiance. Well, were lucky that there weren't much people yet so we got a seat in front of the kitchen plus there was no long queue when we ordered. There’s actually an upper floor but we just settled in the lower ground because of the stroller.

There are two ways you can order your pizza: 1.) Build your own from scratch or 2.) if you aren't into customizing your pizza you can select from a list of pre-set pizzas. My husband opted to try the Build Your Own Pizza priced at Php 285.00 each since he’s so adventurous and created our own flavors. If you chose the pre-set pizzas you can also add other toppings as well.

While waiting for our pizza, my husband and I enjoy watching the pizza queue because it was very entertaining. The pizzas are served quickly as their ovens can bake pizzas in around 4 minutes.  Ganon kabilis maluto yung pizza nila, galing db! One pizza would seem small for one person or maybe gutom lang kami sobra kaya for us kulang ang 1 order. Hehe.

And here are our build-your-own pizzas:

My Pizza
Ian's Pizza

The pizza is sooooo delicious! As in! For me this is the best pizza I've ever tasted. I love the dough when it’s hot and crispy and the ingredients boil down to perfection. My own build pizza was great or maybe the taste of your pizza will depends on the combination of the ingredients that you put.

Ian also ordered Caesar Salad (Small Side Salad) is a combination of Romaine, Parmesan, Croutons and Caesar Dressing.

Classic Caesar Php 165.00

Ian had refillable drinks while I opted to drink my own water. (Since breastfeeding mom ako, hindi ako pwede sa mga softdrinks and service water.)

The self-service dispenser for softdrinks and ice tea.

Overall, Project Pie is worth a try for pizza lovers like us and definitely worth the money. The staff was well-trained and very engaging, the service was good, the prices are reasonable enough since they are generous on the ingredients and of course, the experience alone in designing your own pizza is definitely something worth trying. I highly recommend Project Pie and we promise that we’ll be back definitely soon, pero baka this time in their other branch naman.

From Happy Tummies, thank you so much to PROJECT PIE Alabang!
