For me, my husband is the pickiest eater I've ever known. So preparing our daily meals is the hardest thing I do as a wife. That's why I’m so thankful for the online blogs and recipes I saw in the internet. One of my favorite sites is Del Monte Kitchenomics, super yummy lahat ng dishes that they offer and so easy steps lang talaga, even a busy wife and mom can do it.  Yesterday I cooked Braised Spareribs with Pineapple for our lunch (baon).

Ingredients:

½ kilo Pork Ribs / Belly (cut into servings portions)
¼ tsp Iodized Salt
¼ cup Cooking Oil
¼ cup Water
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
3 cloves Garlic (crushed)
1 tsp Ginger (minced)
1 tsp Cornstarch (dissolved in 1 tbs water)
1 stalk Leeks (sliced, optional)
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds (toasted, optional)
1 can (227 grams) Del Monte Pineapple Chunks/Tidbits

Procedures:

1. Season pork with ¼ teaspoon iodized salt.

2. Brown pork in ¼ cup oil, draining excess oil.

3. Saute garlic and ginger.

4. Add ¼ cup water, soy sauce and Del Monte Pineapple Chunks/Tidbits including syrup.

4. Add pork, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until pork is tender.

5. Add cornstarch. Simmer until think.
6. Stir in leeks and top with sesame seeds.
7. Serve Hot with plain rice.

For the final result, my husband loves it. Well, I think wala rin syang magagawa kasi yan ang baon namin.. Pero seriously speaking and di sa pagbubuhat ng sariling bangko, masarap nga sya promise.. Thanks Del Monte Kitchenomics for this simple and tasty recipe. So for all mommies out there, try this recipe and 110% sure your family and love ones will like it.

You already know that I really love weekend, more bonding with my husband and baby-to-be and of course, it’s time to try another new recipe. Yipeee!!

I got this recipe at Del Monte Kitchenomics and happy to say that this dish is so easy to prepare. So are you ready? Get a pen and paper, write down the ingredients and procedures and let’s start cooking!

Ingredients:

300 grams Pork Lomo (Tenderloin) sliced into thin strips
2 tbsp Margarine
½ cup of mixed vegetables (frozen or cooked)
½ tbsp. Iodized Fine Salt
Cup of Plain Rice
Mama Sita’s Barbecue Marinade (I used Mama Sita instead, since Del Monte Quick n’Easy BBQ Marinade is not available at Shopwise)

Procedures:

1. Marinate pork slices in Mama Sita’s Barbecue Mariinade overnight. Drain and reserve marinade.
2. Saute pork in margarine over high heat for 5 minutes or until cooked.
3. Add mixed vegetables, marinade and ½ teaspoon iodized fine salt. Allow to simmer.
4. Add rice, cook for 3 minutes with continuous stirring.
5. Serve Hot!

According to my ever loyal husband, super sarap daw! And as usual, ubos ang sinaing at ang niluto ko. Hihi.  Easy steps right? So what are you waiting for? Prepare the ingredients now and enjoy cooking!

Hello Readers! How are you? Hope you’re doing fine like me. How’s your long weekend? If you have time, share it with me and I will be glad to hear your stories. Anyway, I just want to share with you our weekend activity and I’m so happy to say that we had a very productive Saturday.

First, I was scheduled for another ultrasound at Makati Medical Center. We arrived a bit late so we’re not surprised when we saw lots of people in the room. I filled up the form and wait for my number to be call out. We waited for almost 1 and half hours for my turn and happy to say that everything was okay. Meaning, healthy and super active ni baby when my OB doctor conduct the test. Her heart rate is 140/beats per minute which is a sign of good and normal, my amniotic fluid is okay as well as my placenta is already anterior high-lying (grade II). What funny is that when my OB do the 4D scan, aba ayaw humarap ni baby, suplada.. As in nakatalikod sya, sumilip sya isang beses pero biglang tumalikod ulit.. Waahh.. Pinasabik lang kami ng daddy nya.. (will post the whole detail soon)

After my ultrasound, we had our lunch at Burger king in Makati Med and proceeds to my OB’s clinic. I was also schedule for monthly check up that time. I’m so happy because everything is okay. No need for additional medicines, I just need to control my food intake. Right after my check-up, my husband drops me off to David Salon for my haircut while he went home for a minute to get the vouchers for the free massage.

On the afternoon, we went to Makati Ave to do ocular visit for my upcoming baby shower. Yipee!!!Excited much! Then, we proceed to the Pampered Nails and Body for my husband’s Free Whole Body Massage. Wow! Ingit much! So habang nag rerelax ang asawa ko, naghihntay ako sa lobby while watching Despicable Me.

Right after the massage, we decided to visit and try again Sarsa Kitchen and Bar. Siguro naman by 6pm unti palang nakapila for dinner and since matagal ng nag crave yung asawa ko sa isaw, nag tyaga kami pumila at maghintay for almost 1 hour. (will post separate review for Sarsa).

After dinner, my mom called and asks me if we can fetch them at MOA, of course naman bakit hindi db. Then, I told her that I was craving for JCO Donuts but hesitant to buy because of the long queue of people, but my mom told me that we can buy donuts even without fall in line. Wow! Ay uu nga pala, Senior Citizen na nanay ko and buntis ako, meaning we are priority all the time. Naks!

So that’s it pancit! A very productive and Fulfilling Saturday for both of us!

This post is actually long overdue and I’m so sorry for that. Medyo natabunan na kasi sa dami ng naka draft sa blog ko.. Anyway, 3 weeks ago I decided to cook my husband another new dish for dinner. This time I tried what my dad sent me on my email before. Kita mo naman napa s upportive ng dad ko sa pagluluto ko..  If you’re tired of the usual fried daing na bangus, this recipe is perfect for you.

Ingredients:

2 whole deboned bangus, divided into 2 parts
¼ cup of flour or cornstarch
½ cup calamnsi juice
Pepper to taste
Knorr seasoning
¼ bar of salted butter
1 to 2 pcs siling labuyo
Calamansi, cut in halves

Procedures:

1. Marinate bangus filler in calamansi juice, knorr and pepper. Set aside for about 30 minutes.
2. While waiting, cream your butter and add salt and siling labuyo. Taste to make sure it suits you. Place in a container and put in the refrigerator until needed.
3. Douse your bangus in cornstarch or flour and shallow fry until coating is crisp and golden brown. Place on paper napkins to remove excess oil.
4. Place prepared butter in the microwave until melted. Drizzle on fish fillets before serving, and serve the rest in a bowl in case extra butter sauce is required.
5. Serve hot with plain rice.

You can try this at home and promise your family will love it - simply irresistible. So go ahead and try it!

After our photobooth event in Tandang Sora last Saturday, Ian and I were attempting to try The Iscreamist in Maginhawa Street near UP Diliman (Teacher’s Village), unfortunately when we arrived at the store, the place was packed. Well, I’m not really surprised. Dinadayo talaga sya ng mga tao who wants to try their ice cream with a twist.

So we chose to go to Fresh Selection instead. Since we hadn't been around the UP area, Ian suggested that we should try new restaurant that popped up near The Iscreamist. By the way, none of us had ever eaten there before kaya ganon kami ka sabik mag try ng new restaurant na makakainan. Hehe.  If you’re going to visit Maginhawa Street, there is no parking slot within the area, so you have no choice but to park your car on the side walk. Ika nga nila, park at your own risk. Hehe.

Fresh Selection is so easy to find, it is located in front of Mini Stop in Maginhawa St. The store is noticeable, attractive and inviting. Ang liwanag naman kasi talaga ng signage nila kaya mapapansin mo talaga, and from the word itself, matatakam ka talaga. As I said, there is no available parking slot in this restaurant so my husband parked our car on the other side of the street, sa tapat ng isang bahay. Haha

Before we enter, the interiors of the store are visible from the outside. As we arrived, I got fascinated because the place is well-ventilated and has very clean and cool wooden walls that are lined up with several paintings. The place has moderately spacious, the counter is so small and you need to fall in line before you order which means pay as you order. Even the spoon and fork, water and condiments are self-service. The tables are aligned properly; you can choose to sit at the couches or by chairs.

Fresh Selections has a mission to everyone which is to serve healthy food at an affordable price. Wow! Nice Mission! So let’s talked about the food, Ian ordered for Pork Asado Rice Meal. According to Ian the taste was good. The meat was not that tender but it was okay. Hhhmm.. Gutom lang cguro talaga asawa ko.. Hehe. The meal was served with small amount of veggies (sayote), well I thought the meal will include soup which I think normal any combo meals.

Pork Asado Php 75.00
Freshly Brewed Ice Tea Php 40.00

Since I’m still full with our merienda, I choose to try their Lumpiang Ubod. I really love vegetables even before I got pregnant. I love lumpiang ubod that Goldilocks offered and I must say that their version of Fresh Lumpia in Fresh Selections was also superb. Very filling and yummy! I enjoyed my food which is prepared perfectly. Bitin nga lang, sana nag order pa ko ng isa pa. Hehe.

Fresh Lumpia Php 60.00

Mission accomplished! Healthy and good food + affordable price + nice ambiance = Happiness. I would definitely come back and try their other dishes.

After our friend’s baby shower last Saturday, my husband and I decided to try the famous Wild Flour Café + Bakery. As I told you before that every time we watched Kris RealiTV which featured new restaurant/café, expect us that we will visit the said place right away. Wild Flour Cafe + Bakery was located on the Ground Floor of Net Lima Building, between 4th Ave corner 26th Street. Landmarks are the Hyundai and One McKinley Place.

Okay, if you noticed napapadalas yung punta namin sa BGC, it’s because there were still a bunch of restaurants in this area that we wanted to try. Although sometimes we got confused with the streets, super laki naman kasi talaga ng Global City but we have been getting the hang of it lately and for sure after ilan visit pa dito makakabisado narin namin yung mga streets. Bwahahaha..

We arrived at the Café past 1 in the afternoon but the place is still packed. OMG! Ganon ba talaga pag na fe-feature sa Kris RealiTV? It has already made a huge buzz. Anyway, Wildflour Cafe + Bakery was quiet small but cozy enough, the name of the restaurant was script on one of the glass walls.

While waiting for our seats Ian went to the counter and check the cronuts displayed, OMG! Parang gusto kong bilhin lahat ng flavors they offer, sad to say you have to line-up even if you’re dine-in to buy Cronuts and the most heart breaking part is that you can only choose two flavors per person.  Meaning, bawal mag hording! Waahh..

I have no time to take photos since we need to leave BGC by 3pm for our photobooth event at Tandang Sora. I liked the ambiance, the place has a very nice interior design and lighting was simple and practical, the tables and chairs are made of hard wood materials. You can choose if you want to dine inside or outside the café. Ian and I were lucky enough not to have waited for so long, but we need to share our table with the other customers. It’s okay, “Share a seat and win a friend!”

We decided to take the low chairs outside the café, di naman ganon kainit kaya ayos lang. The server greeted us with a smile, served us a glass of water in a bottles and hand over the menu. While browsing their menu, parang bigla akong nagutom.. Other than Cronuts, they also offers scrumptious all day breakfast, main courses, salads, desserts, etc. But the café has become known for offering Cronuts, a curious cross between a croissant and donut which originally created by Chef Dominique Ansel at his SoHo bakery in NY City.

Ian ordered for Chocolate and Strawberry Cronuts, but one staff told us that they were serving the croissant donuts at specific times of the day only and naubos na yung mga yun . Oh noh! Hindi pwede yun! But according to them, they will serve again by 3:30pm due to public demand. My husband and I have been waiting for the Cronuts and we cannot wait until 3:30pm, may event kami by 4:30. Huhu. Meaning, Cronuts are so in demand that people order a box of it.

Mukhang swerte talaga ang buntis… As Ian approached the counter, one staff told us that there were two available Cronuts, Yehey! Meron pang natira! We’re so lucky! We tried the Strawberry first; I love the custard cream filling.  The Cronuts is so yummy and not so sweet. As Ian cut into it, the frail base almost collapses.

Strawberry Cronuts Php 120.00

Then, we tried the Chocolate Cronuts. OMG! Super sarap nya as in! But as per my husband, it is more delicious if served hot. I love the sugar-rolled croissant donut in its sweetness, it is crunchy and airy. Freshly baked Cronuts should I say.

Chocolate Cronuts Php 120.00

And since my husband told me that it’s great with coffee, tea or hot choco, he ordered for a cup of Hot Choco.

Hot Choco Php 160.00

Overall, our experience at Wild Flour was great. Prices are expensive especially if you consider the quality of food being out out, but it’s all worth trying especially the desserts and service.  I will surely come back for more cronuts (maybe a box of them) and will try the other dishes. Give it a try and for sure you will love it. By the way, they forgot to serve us some fresh hot bread with butter. I read an article saying that they give complimentary bread for every customer. Hihi.

After our scrumptious dinner at ABE, my husband wants to have something sweets and was demanding for ice cream so he decided to try Cold Stone Creamery that would satisfy his craving. Well, my sweet tooth is on alert mode also and wanting to be pacified. Hehe.

We first learned about cold stone creamery from a local tv show and we are so excited to visit this store ever since. Nagustuhan ng asawa ko yung concept na ibabato yung ice cream then sasaluhin mo.. Haha.  Cold stone is located at the corner of Serendra fronting Market Market and easy to locate. They served ice cream, shakes, cakes and others in a little bit pricey. The ordering process is so easy; it starts with choosing your ice cream cup. I suggests you can go for the smallest for a modest tasting portion.

You can add Plain Waffle, Chocolate coated waffle or Chocolate coated waffle with sprinkles, then choose different flavored ice cream you want, add some mixins such as choconut, sprinkles, chocolates, etc. after choosing your ice cream, you can watch the crew in preparing you orders.

You can also choose from the selections they offer or create your own ice cream. You can also choose their available add-ons but I think more expensive than the usual. My husband decided to choose from their signature creations because he was just too confused with the ice cream and mix in options available. We tried the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection which consists of Chocolate Ice Cream with Peanut Butter, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and Fudge. This is not bad for a first timer like us, it’s definitely the taste what I’m looking for. I love the buttery feeling that exploring all over my mouth. Oh, I forgot to say that I love Reese’s Peanut Butter too.

Love It Php 176.79 + Plain Waffle Cone Php 31.25
Mr. and Mrs. Ian Villareal ♥

It was great to taste another ice cream creation. They really made our day and satisfied our mouth with the yummy-ness of their ice cream. I know for those people who really love ice cream would be ecstatic to try Cold Stone. If you would ask me If I will come back here for another round, definitely “YES”!

Last two weeks, we had our usual Saturday date. Actually, we really have no plan to go out on that day because of heavy rains but my husband insist that we should have another food trip even if the rains started to fall. May nunal ata sa talampakan asawa ko kaya ang hilig umalis.. Haha. After washing our clothes, Ian told me that he was craving for some street foods and suggests trying restaurants in UP Diliman, but I refused to travel long because I’m tired and all I want to do is to sleep. After few minutes, I suggests trying Sarsa Kitchen + Bar in BGC. (We saw this restaurant in one of Kris Reali TV episodes.)

It’s too early for dinner so we opted to explore Rockwell first; we roamed around to check for our baby’s stuffs, had our merienda and left Rockwell by 6pm. We also visit Market Market to buy ink for our photobooth event; unfortunately we left Market Market with empty hand. Finally, we decided to have our dinner at Sarsa and with the help of our dear friend Waze, we reach the new and famous restaurant owned by Chef Japys. My husband drops me off to reserve our seats while he parked our car. As I approached the store, I was surprised with the numerous people waiting for their turn, as I talked with the staff she told me that they cannot accommodate us, pang 16 pa daw kami. OMG! Ganon talaga kadami ang naghihintay? I convinced the staff if she can still allowed us to reserve our seats and we are willing to wait, happily she advise me that if someone who back-out their reservation, she can accommodate us. Yehey! But sadly, my husband decided to try this restaurant some other day or make a reservation at least one day prior to our visit. Sa bagay, baka anong petsa pa kami makakain pag hinintay pa namin yung slot namin db..

Moving forward, we explore the city of BGC and look for the best place to dine. It’s already late in the evening and our baby is starting to kick hardly, gutom na anak ko.. Huhu. Daddy, you need to decide na! So we parked our car again at Serendra and started to scout for the possible restaurant. We have 3 choices, The Conti’s, Saboten or the ABE. I told my husband that we already tried Conti’s numerous times before and kung conti’s na naman e di sana nag greenbelt nalang kami db. My other choice is to try Saboten, pero kakakain lang ni Ian dun with his officemate on that week, so finally he decided to try ABE once again. Well, sya na try na daw nya dun 6 years ago but it was my first time to eat here that’s why I’m so excited. O db, we were supposed to eat at Sarsa but end up at Serendra. Ayos!

“Where good friends dine” – the tag line what you can see first in the facade of Abe Restaurant. One of the restaurants in Serendra,Taguig with the most number of customers every lunch and dinner. This restaurant serves traditional Filipino food which is mostly with a strong Kapangpangan accent.  The restaurant was packed when we got there but happy to say that we they accommodate immediately. Thank God, we were very hungry that night so we asked for the menu right away and place our orders. The place is small and I guess can only accommodate not more than 100 pax. The ambiance is cozy and very Filipino style.

At Abe, food is prepared and served with a great deal of love while its concept and design provide the ideal setting for friends and family who wish to dine comfortably and have a good time. Abe’s menus are just simple and classic but I guess they all taste good. My husband ordered to Pork Sinigang (this dish is one of my husband’s favorite). I must say that this dish is good for 4-5 persons. I love the soup, vegetables even the meat itself. The soup was served hot, perfect for the bed weather. This dish passed my husband sour standard but for me it’s a little salty. Alam nyo naman si Ian super pihikan sa ulam.

Pork Sinigang Php 395.00

Ice Tea Regular Php 85.00

Note: I’m so sorry for the poor pictures; they were taken in a very low light plus di na kasi kami nagdadala ng DLSR.  Awful photography cannot stop us, so we just use our cellphone camera instead. Hehe.

Ian also ordered for Day after tomorrow.  Pork lechon paksiw stewed in its own spicy sauce, coconut milk and chiliesI love this dish promise! I love the style of their cooking, as in ngayon lang ako nakatikim ng lechon paksiw in coconut milk. Very unique and tasty. The rice costs Php 60.00 but you can eat unlimited as someone is roving around offering extras.

The Day After Php 399.00

Overall, Abe’s a must-eat in Serendra. Waiters are friendly, great interiors, good Filipino food and good servings. Although the menu is a bit expensive but definitely great value for money.

P.S.
We do have some take out pa ha and naging lunch pa namin the following day. ^_^

Hello readers, how are you today? Me, feeling tired. I can’t sleep last night, maybe because my baby is growing up so fast. As in ang laki na ng tyan ko and it’s so difficult for me to get the right and comfortable sleeping position, plus I can’t breathe. I don’t know why but according to my friends, ganon daw talaga pag buntis medyo hirap narin huminga and laging hinihingal. That's fine with me, ika nga nila it's natural for pregnant woman. Anyway, I just want to share with you our happenings last Saturday. Grabe as in nakakapagod but it’s all worth it. I will give you a quick update then will post separate reviews to our events. Hehe.

Morning, we went to our friend’s baby shower at Mc Donald’s Taguig. It’s so nice to see her again, super laki na ng tyan nya and you know what one month lang pagitan namin sa panganganak. She will deliver her healthy baby boy on December 25 while on January 26, 2014 is my schedule. So next year pag nag reunion ulit kami, halos lahat na kami may dala ng baby.. Ang saya lang.

from my IG account @rnvillareal

Right after the party, my husband wants to try the famous Wildflour which offers the best Croissant-Donut in the city. Well, we saw this restaurant in Kris RealiTV episode. Sabi ko sa inyo pag nakita namin may bagong restaurant na pinuntahan sila Kris Aquino, asahan nyo na on weekend pupuntahan namin yun. Hehe. (Will post separate review for this.)

Then, after our quick merienda we decided to left BGC and explore QC. We have photobooth event in Tandang Sora courtesy of my husband’s officemate. Grabe, as in road trip ang nangyari because we went at Jollibee Tandang Sora Visayaz Avenue but you know what, hindi pala dun ang party.. OMG! Sa Tandang Sora Commonwealth pala! It’s already past 4pm and still we’re on the road, hello 4:30 yung event.. Waaahh.. We called his officemates and ask for the directions, as in literal na naliligaw kami.. Huhu. What worst was nahuli pa kami ng MMDA dun, Obstruction of Justice daw. Okay fine, sorry 1st time namin pareho sa QC eh, on that specific place kaya di namin alam, buti nalang pumayag si kuya na pag usapan nalang namin.. Hehe..

After the event, my husband decided to visit UP. Imagine, it’s already past 7 and still my husband wants to have some food trip in UP. Well, matagal na namin talaga balak mag food trip sa UP kaya lang laging nauudlot because of the typhoon, finally natuloy rin kami. Our target is to try the famous The Iscreamist, Ian has been raving about this store so we make sure na di kami aalis ng UP not until matikman namin yung mga ice cream dito. But before that, we had our healthy dinner first. Ang dami pa kasing nakapila sa The Iscreamist, as in Blockbuster.

It’s already past 10 in the evening when we decided to go home. Pagod na si baby ko and pagod narin asawa ko sa kaka drive. Yan tuloy, SL sya today. #getwellsoonhubby. It’s a very tiring day for both of us but worth it and super saya. So wait for my next post. Have a great day!

Hello people! It’s Friday again and you know what I mean! It’s Selfie Friday again.. Woohooo.. So for today, I enjoy taking photos inside our office comfort room. O db kahit sa CR di napigilan mag selfie.. Haha. #GGSS (Gandang Ganda Sa Sarili) Sorry guys, blog ko to.. :p

photo from my IG @rnvillareal

This is one of the best shots, best na talaga sya ha.. hirap palang mag selfie sa mirror. Haha.  Anyway, from me and my super duper active baby rhian, we wish you a great weekend! Thank God It’s Friday!

Due to bed weather, all I want is to stay with our bed and curl up with my husband and our baby all day. As in ayaw ko ng tumayo, gusto ko lang humiga ng humiga at matulog. Then, I realize that I really miss doing the things that I always do before I got pregnant. I know having a baby changes everything and I wouldn't give up motherhood for anything in the world but the truth is, there are things I miss about my pre-pregnancy life, promise after I gave birth with our little princess next year magagawa ko ulit sya. Hehe.

10. Wearing High-Heels, Shorts and Jeans

Once you got pregnant, you are not allowed to wear high heels. May possibility kasi na matapilok ka or madulas ka which is not good to your baby. Ever since I got pregnant I always wear flat shoes, sandals or rubber slippers to prevent myself from falling. Mas maganda ng nag iingat kesa nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

I also miss wearing shorts and jeans during our date or kahit papasok sa office. Di na sila kasya because of my growing tummy plus di pwedeng naiipit or nasisikipan si baby so what I always wear is leggings or dress.

9. Whole Body Massage

Ian and I really love to go at the spa because this is our way of bonding. We also want to relax and remove all our stress and “lamig” in our body so usually every other month, we pay visit Wensha in Pasay or The Spa in Greenbelt. Nowadays, I suffer back pains and muscle pains because of my pregnancy and since I am not allowed for a whole body massage, my husband touches my back and smoothly massages it.

8. Biking

My husband’s early Christmas gift last year was a pair of bike. One for him and one for me, this is our exercise every weekend. We also use our bike whenever we visit my family on the other barangay, during our shopping spree every Saturday or whenever we want to stroll around the area. I really don’t know if biking is not allowed for pregnant woman but my parents don’t allow me to use it not until I gave birth. Mahirap na daw baka matumba ako or something and because I know that mother’s knows best, I follow her nalang.

7. Window Shopping (Mall Hopping)

I really miss doing this thing, as in super duper namimiss ko na sya. Although sometimes we go to the mall, iba parin yung dati. Kasi dati kahit na 5 oras kaming naglalakad paikot ikot sa mall, keribells ko lang but now, oh no! parang ilang minutes palang napapagod na ko ang tumitigas na tyan ko.. Huhu. In the end, we just need to stop for a while and eat in the restaurant then uwi na. In fact, would you believe na almost 3 months na kong di nakakadaan ng Glorietta or Landmark! That’s impossible! Waahh..

6. Dancing using XBOX

One thing that Ian and I really love to do during weekend is to play with our XBOX. Mapa sports man yan or dancing, game na game kami until midnight. It is also one of our exercise kasi, magpapawis kahit nasa loob lang ng bahay. Now that my baby is growing up so fast, all I can do is to watch my husband while dancing or playing with our XBOX.. Gustuhin ko man sumayaw at magkikilos, di pwede.. Huhu. Baka mapano pa si baby..

5. Hanging out with friends

I miss does times I spent with my friends in the bar without worrying about my wonderful baby inside my tummy. When I got married, my husband allows me to spend a night with my girlfriends and having fun all night, but when we found out that I am pregnant we decided to limit my sleepless night with them for the sake of our baby. Dinner pwede, pero after dinner I need to go home na to take some rest or else maninigas na naman tyan ko nyan.

4. Eat at Buffet Restaurant

If you’re an avid fan of this blog, you already have an idea that Ian and I really love to eat, as in super love naming kumain ng kumain. One of our favorite buffet restaurants is Yakimix, sinusulit talaga namin yung bayad dun kaya kahit magstay kami ng 2-3 hours inside the restaurant, okay lang as long as lafang  kami ng lafang.. Hehe. But now, my OB advise me to undergo strict diet because I am almost overweight (huhu), I need to control my food intake, as in ½ cup of rice lang for morning, lunch and dinner. Before I got pregnant, I can eat at least 2 cups of rice. Can you imagine that? Para talaga akong construction worker kung kumain before, but now for the sake of my baby I need to control myself and just concentrate with half rice and crackers.

3. Chocolates and Junk Foods (Chichiria)

Huhu. I really miss Chocolates and Junk Foods, as in naglalaway na ko sa kanila. Being pregnant you need extra care not only for yourself but also for the baby. You need to monitor your sugar intake to prevent gestational diabetes which is common to pregnant woman. I’m done with this test and happy to say that my sugar level is normal, but it doesn’t mean that I am allowed to take chocolates, remember I need to undergo STRICT diet and my OB advise me to refrain from eating sweets and too salty. Okay, I need to be honest with you guys… Sometimes or most of the time I ate lots of chocolates, as in madaming madami.. We have chocolate stocks in our house from my in-laws in US and ice cream is always on our list in grocery. Hhhmm.. maswerte na twice a month merong 1 gallon of ice cream sa ref. Chichiria is also bad for pregnant, but I can’t help myself from not eating chichiria once in a while. Ika nga nila di naman masama kung bihira lang. Hehe. Promise, next year kakain ako ng maraming chocolates and chichiria pambawi lang sa 9 months kong pagtitiis. Hehe.

photos from my ig @rnvillareal

2. Running

Aside from biking, running is also our sports together. In fact during our gf/bf stage we always participate in any running event in BGC and MOA kaya nga lahat ng pambahay naming damit eh puro singlet from the marathon that we joined. Ganon kami ka addict nun sa pagtakbo! We already tried 5k and 10k, our next target is to join in 16km run but for now bawal muna ako sa pagtakbo. Hello, san ka ba nakakita ng buntis na tumatakbo? Haha.  Hopefully next year, makapag register ulit kami sa marathon but this time kasama na namin si baby rhian.. Ooopppss. Syempre nasa stroller lang sya.. Hehe.

1. Out of Town

Last but not the least, I really miss to travel. Huhu. Alam nyo naman na super duper love namin mag asawa ang mag explore ng iba’t ibang lugar both in the Philippines and other countries. As far as I remember, the last time we take a trip together was in Davao last March this year with my husband’s officemates and friends. I know we need to save our money in preparation for our little princess to come on January 2014 and we know na next year mas masarap ng mag  travel because kasama na namin si baby. Unting tiis nalang and lalarga na ulit sila Mr. and Mrs. Villareal. Hehe. Seriously speaking, we need to cancel our Vietnam-Cambodia trip next year to give way for our little princess, mas importante syempre si baby kesa sa trip na yun. Happy to say that Cebu Pacific allow us to rebook our flight at least 3 months from the original date of our trip, so pwede namin syang magamit on our 2nd wedding anniversary. Wohooo!!!

But for now, I need to have more patience and control myself for these things for the sake of our baby. I know it’s all worth it as long as our baby is healthy, magtitiis muna ako, plus I love sniggling with my hubby everyday.. Aawww.. so sweet!
