2012 is such a wonderful year for us!  So last night before year ends, hubby and I recall all the things happened to us in the year of the dragon. Listed below are the top 12 unforgettable events in 2012.

This is memorable for us because this is our 1st trip after we get married and also our 1st time to visit Corregidor. All I can say is that the place is superb and very historic.

11. Act as official photographer

This year also challenge our skills in photography. Other than our photobooth business, we are now accepting photo coverage in any occasions. Yes! Last November, we are the official photographers at the wedding (my friend’s brother who got married) . O db, unang sabak palang, wedding agad ang client.

10. Planning for our Big Day

Planning a wedding is very fun and at the same time stressful. We got engaged at 2011 and finalized all our bookings by 2012. This year, we realized that time really matters. We didn't notice that July is coming so fast and we want to ensure that everything is all right.

From day one of our engagement, we carefully thought of the concepts we want for our wedding. Our vision is to have a simple, organized, memorable and beautiful wedding event. We promised to work hard on this concept (take note: we have office work from weekdays and photobooth events during weekend) even though it'll be for just a one-day affair plus ---anyway, when you say 'a beautiful wedding' it doesn't necessarily mean an expensive one, right?

“It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.”

September 01, 2012, this date is so significant for us since this is the day when we finally move-in at Makati. Yes! This year, we rented a house for us because we wanted to start our family on our own and not just to be dependent to our families.

Let’s be practical, building a house needs lot of money. Since we’re starting to live on our own, we need to invest some in furniture and fixtures for our home and you know what it’s so nice to see that we already purchased it one by one.

March 16, 2012 was scheduled for our pre-nup at NAIA Terminal 3. This is one of the most memorable event happened in the year 2012 because it’s not usual to do pre-nup at the airport. Another challenge for us, from writing a letter (authority to shoot ) attention to the public affairs of NAIA, follow ups, signed of contract, coordinating with the NAIA staffs etc. But after seeing our pre-nup photos, all our hard works for the approval was really worth-it.

6. Christmas Party with the Kids

December 16, 2012 – Held our 1st Christmas party with the kids at Masaya Home in Makati. Hubby and I decided to share our blessings that we received this year at the orphanage. This event was successful with the help of Ian’s officemates and some of our friends. Now, we are much excited for our 2nd Christmas party on 2013.

August 2 – 3, 2012, Overnight stay at Malaysia that marks for our 2nd honeymoon destination. This is our 1st time to visit the country and we really enjoy it!

July 28 – August 1, 2012, Our most romantic getaway for the year 2012; Romantic because this is our 1st trip as married couple and our first time to explore SG.

December 25, 2012, We celebrate our 1st Christmas as Husband and Wife with full of joy and love.

4 months before our BIG day, God test our faith. I was diagnosed for having muscle spasm and panic attack while Ian undergo major operation for appendicitis.. That moment, we don’t blame God or even questioned him about what happened to us; instead we pray and offer our pain and sufferings, ask for more strength that we overcome the physical and emotional ailments which bother us. I know that through this test it makes our relationship stronger and help us prepare ourselves to face all the trials that will come in the future.

Finally, we’re on the top 1 of our 12 memorable events happened this 2012 and this is our (insert drum rolling here) WEDDING DAY! Yahoo!!!

July 24, 2012 (7.24.12) , our most awaited day of the year and the beginning of the rest of our lives. This day changes our life; it is the day when two hearts become one. We enter another stage of our relationship, new journey will take, new challenges will conquer, and new moments will treasure.

And as the year ends, I realized that you don’t count what you lost. Instead, cherish what you have and plan what to gain. The past never returns but the future may still fulfill the loss.  Happy New Year Everyone!

Aside from Noche Buena, we are also excited to open our Christmas gifts. Yes! It’s our tradition to exchange our gifts during Christmas. Last year was so easy to buy gifts for my husband, but this year is really a challenge for me, 24/7 ba naman kaming magkasama so it’s so hard to go outside without letting him know, iba na talaga pag married ka na.. Syempre need kong magpaalam kung saan ako pupunta, mahirap ng mag away kami.. hihi.

Anyway, I’m not a materialistic girl; either I’m not a fan of branded items and my husband knows that. Madali lang akong pasayahin, simple dinner will do. Yes that’s me. So it’s already a bonus for the husband na di ako mapili and meticulosa sa regalo unlike him. Hihi.

Story behind his Christmas gifts:

Before Christmas, Hubby and I went in Divisoria Mall to purchase gifts for the kids at the orphanage and for our family when I saw one stall full of bags. I love bags specifically the big one, I love to carry lots of things every time we went out, para bang gusto kong dalhin yung buong bahay sa bag ko.. Haha. I asked for his permission if I can check the stall and look around, wala lang gusto ko lang mabusog ang mga mata ko sa kakatingin sa mga bags.. Hehe. Until, one bag caught my attention, I want to buy it but due to very limited budget, I chose to leave the stall. Hubby saw my sad face and just to make me happy, he purchased it and told me that it was his Christmas gift for me. Wow! Thank you Honey.

I have no idea that my husband has another gift for me. How sweet. He order a sling bag from Instagram, adik rin kasi ang asawa ko sa instagram. Haha.  Although I received the item the day after Christmas, more important is my husband never forget to surprise me.

Another Christmas gift from hubby, he upgraded his postpaid plan just to get these cool items for me. Thank you honey for the Christmas gifts. Ako na talaga ang spoiled na wife.

Story behind my Christmas gifts:

Hubby is a very techie guy, he has everything -  two laptop (Mac and Dell), Desktop, PSP, SLR, Wii, and high-tech cellphone. He’s very meticulous in clothes and shoes and he’s not an avid fan of cakes and cookies either, so it’s really hard for me to buy him gifts, kaya minsan dapat kasama ko sya sa pagbili. This is another challenge for me, ang mag  isip kung anong ibibigay sa kanya, since I’m a certified Instagram adik, I follow some online seller offering branded clothes and high-tech gadgets. One day, I saw one post at Instagram, I know hubby will like it since he really loves photography. I contact the seller, deposit the payment and right before Christmas, the items arrived. Galing! Sakto! I wrapped it and gave it to him early morning of December 25.

Here are first shots using the fish eye lens.

P.S.

I change my bag everyday, baka kasi maluma pag araw-araw gagamitin, while hubby always carry his new lens.

Christmas is the one of the happiest event that I've been waiting for - family reunions, Christmas parties and friends get-together. This year, I’m sooo excited as in because this is the first time we celebrate Christmas as Husband and Wife. Yihii..

Our Christmas Tree

Some of our friends and officemates are asking me how we celebrate our 1st Christmas as married couple, I simply say “Simple and Memorable”. Hihi.. Anyway, December 24, marks our 5th wedding monthsary so we decided to just stay at home and prepare our food for Noche Buena.  Instead of watching television for the whole day, we opted to play a Christmas songs, I prepared Lumpiang Shanghai and Barbecue, Mommy prepares home-made chicken nuggets and spaghetti, while hubby is in-charge to broil the barbecue, and this is what we called “Labor of Love”.  Chos!

Christmas Eve :)

My mother in-law, hubby and me :)

Happy Couple :)

By 9pm, we prepare ourselves for the vigil mass. After 1.5 hours, the mass is ended and we are excited to go home, eat together and open our gifts. Exactly 12am of December 25, we were greeted each other “Merry Christmas” with a kiss.

Wacky Shot

We opened our gifts early morning before preparing our lunch and by 12noon, my family arrived.

Exchange gifts

On the afternoon, hubby’s friends came in. Syempre di mawawala ang inuman for the boys..

My mom and mother in-law dance in the tuned of Gangnam and Cha Cha Dabarkads. My mom throw coins while all of us excited to pick it up. Natutuwa kasi syang makita kami nagkakandarapa sa kakapulot ng pera.. Haha.

Gangnam Style :)

Cha Cha Dabarkads :)

O db ang lambot ng katawan ng nanay ko.. Hehe. Our visitors left our house by 10:30pm and to end up our Christmas celebration, Hubby and I prayed together at our room to thank our God for all the blessings that we received and to greet him a “Happy Happy Birthday!”.

5 months ago when we said “ I DO” in front of God, our families & friends and now we are living as husband and wife. Yehey! There are so many happy moments and I still can go on and on..  It’s just like a normal couple, we've been through a lot of challenges in our relationship and yet we never gave up. Thank you for staying beside me all the time.

I know that life isn't always a fairy tale, but it seems we live like one because we believe it is. I still remember the night before we got married, when you hug me tightly and told me that you will wait for me at the church wearing my white dress.. Kilig! We really enjoy playing the roles that God has written for us without any complaints and whatever the script maybe.

I love you more than life itself, because you've made my life a joy. Our Happiness was made by Destiny. Iloveyou so much!
