Certified Wife Cooked: Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

FTFBadge

Last long weekend, hubby and I opted to stay at home ika nga nya “Staycation” instead of “Vacation”. Yes! Himala na nasa bahay lang kami lalo na may long weekend! We need to save our extra money for our 2nd honeymoon on January. Yipee!!! So last Friday, I read my cooking notes and decided to cook my husband a special dish for lunch. I checked our refrigerator and found out that we have ½ kilo of Shrimp. Yahoo!!! The first thing that enters my mind is to cook Gambas, but since we have limited ingredients in our house, I go for Sweet and Spicy Shrimp.

Ingredients:

½ kilo Fresh Shrimp
3 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoon garlic, minced
3 teaspoon ginger, minced
2 teaspoon siling labuyo, chopped
¼ cup tomato ketchup
250 liters Soda (Sprite)
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon white sugar

Procedures:

1. Combine tomato ketchup and sugar. Mix and set aside.

2. Heat oil in the fry pan then add butter.
3. Fry the ginger and garlic for 20 to 30 seconds or until light brown.

4. Add shrimp and stir fry to 1 to 2 minutes. Add the Soda.

5. Add the sauce mixture, butter and chili. Stir fry to 2 to 5 minutes.

6. Add salt and pepper to taste.

7. Serve hot with rice!

As you notice, my version of Sweet and Spicy Shrimp is different, masyadong masabaw or should I say nag uumapaw sa sabaw.. Mas gusto kasi namin ang may sabaw kesa sa tuyot. Thanks sa Sprite, napasarap mo lalo luto ko..

Note:
I changed my border color since my husband told me to change it. Alam nyo naman number 1 follower ko sya plus mas marami syang alam about photography.. Kaya don't be surprised on my next posts, iba narin watermark and style ng mga photos ko it's because of him. Thank you Honey!
