Thank God It's Friday. I guess all of us really want to enjoy Friday night with friends, so last Friday together with Noel and Cha we had a very tiring but memorable night because for the 1st time Noel are getting emotional while talking about his so-called "ex-girlfriend". I know him since 1st year college and for me he is a mysterious guy when it come to his love-life. By the way, it's not the issue now. Let's talk about the restaurant and the food that we ate.


Fuzion Smoothie Café is one of the memorable restaurants for me, this is where I introduced Ian as my boyfriend to my college friends way back 2006.

I love Fuzion! The first thing that attracted to me was the color of the place which is Orange! Whoa! The interiors are awesome! As you can see the place is surrounded by orange and yellows, the chairs and tables are so inspiring and cheesy. The place itself offers the perfect hangout for friends. They also have soft couches where you can sit or lie and relax for a while just make sure you remove your shoes first.



When you say Fuzion, first thing that comes to your mind is the smoothies, like berry, tropical and power smoothies, unfortunately we were not able to try it since we plan to have coffee after dinner. According to some reviews, their smoothies are made with no added sugar; it was made from fruit flash frozen at their peak of ripeness, frozen yogurt and natural nectar. Wow! Fuzion smoothies are good for us! Well, I promise myself as I come back in this restaurant, I make sure to try at least one smoothie.

While waiting for Noel, Cha decided to order for appetizer, she chose Cheese Sticks. This is perfect for sharing.

After 15 minutes, Noel arrived. He opted to order like what I chose the Pork barbecue Skewers; the pork is well-done, a little bit salty because of the sauce but was so tasty and succulent. It is a perfect complement with their plain rice. I thought I can't finish everything, but after a few minutes, I had emptied out the plate clean! Hehe.

Cha order for Chicken Steak Teriyaki, I only bite a small part that's why I cannot conclude the taste. But I love the presentation in the plate; it catches my eyes to take lots of photos.

November 24, Tuesday is our love day again. We celebrated our 52nd monthsary together by having scrumptious dinner at Chili's Bar and Restaurant at Greenbelt 5. We really love to try this restaurant every time we pass by at the said mall.




We were greeted by a courteous waitress and had our reservation first since there are no vacant seats when we arrive. So Ian decided to stroll around the mall and bought some accessories for his camera. After 15 minutes, our seats are now available. Chili's is festive, there are lots of people who eat here, there is some music around the corner,  non-stop flat television screen where you can watch while eating and a very accommodating and attentive waiters.



They also have the bar where you can order for their specialty, Margarita. You can also eat here if you want to be seated in a high-chair.



Each table there is condiments like ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, table napkins, salt and pepper shaker.


Chilli's has many delicious foods to choose from and honestly, it's so difficult to only choose at least 2 main dishes for us. Good thing that their servings is very generous to share as a group. Ian opted to get our appetizer first, he prefer to try the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. A fajita-marinated chicken with corn relish, mixed cheeses, cilantro, diced tomato and crispy tortilla strips. It also garnished with an anchor-Chile ranch drizzle and cheese quesadilla wedges. Served with their citrus-balsamic dressing.

Then, he chose Country Style Pork Belly. It's a marinated tender pork belly grilled to perfection. Served with chili's rice and fresh veggies with sour spicy vinegar and garlic sauce for dipping.

For me, I try the Guiltless Chicken Platter. A grilled chicken breast with chili's rice and steamed fresh veggies with Parmesan cheese.

I have no problems with the food. The flavor is great, especially with the grilled dishes. Servings are medium to outsize which can share by group. The vegetables are really fresh; the dips are flavorful as well. By the end of our meal, we had our leftovers wrapped and take it home. When we asked for our bill, I inquire if they accepted Ayala Card for discounts or freebies, happy to sat that they offer mango shake or chili's mug for a minimum purchase of Php 1,000.00. Our total bill was Php 1,150.64 including Local F & B and service charge. Whoa! Crazy but well worth it! We just enjoy the night plus I take home my Chili's mug.

Chili's is the best choice if you want to have a long hour of conversation since they're open till 12 midnight during weekdays and 2am during weekends. But be ready, because the prices are high per plate, meaning every bite is worth every cent.

Hhhmm.. Every one wants to have good eye sight; in fact I'm one of them. I'm not blessed to have a clear vision ever since I was in elementary days. I remember one incident that my teacher in math gets mad at me because I wasn't able to answer the multiplication flash card since I can't see those numbers in the card. Then finally, I ask my parents to accompany me at the hospital and let them check my eyes, sad to say the doctor told us that my grade was reach 350 for both eyes and need to wear eye glasses as soon as possible. Now, I'm 26 years old and currently working, my both eyes reach the grade of 700 with 150 astigmatism. Yes! I wear thick eye glasses every day, but since E.O offers the ultra thin with multi-coated plus correction to my astigmatism, I bought them last year. I also wear contact lens since sometimes I get irritated using eye glasses. During our date last Saturday, I asked Ian to go with me at Executive Optical, after 20 minutes of check-up the doctor told me to get another set of contact lens. However, they don't have stock for my grade. Sad! Then finally, last Tuesday Ian and I went to Glorietta to check if they have a stock, finally, I got 1 pair!

It's so nice that when you purchase one set of contact lens, you will received other freebies.

After hearing the mass last Sunday, my mom treats us for dinner. Our first option was to try Pizza Hut in Makati Cinema Square, unfortunately they was moved to another place, so we have no choice but to check their new branch however, upon entering one staff told us that they cannot accommodate us since they are for delivery only. In the end, we settled at Shakey's. My dad and I opted to get the Family Meal Deals, a feast that is fit for sharing and enough for us. It's good for 5-6 persons including Spaghetti Platter, Large Thin Crust Pizza, Buddy packs Chick 'n' chips and 1 pitcher of house blend iced tea only for Php 835.00.

Spaghetti Platter is a family-sized of their special spaghetti made with their rich specially-blended tomato-sauce, mixed with chucks of salami, ham ground beef, mushrooms, green bell pepper and onions.


Buddy packs Chick 'n' chips is a classic crisp juicy, flavor-packed fried chicken with garlic bread.






Large Thin Crust Manager's Choice is one of their no. 1 flavor pizza loaded with ham, beef, Italian sausage, green bell pepper and onions.

When you heard of Scramble, first thing that comes to your mind is the old pinoy street food place in a cart. I remember my childhood days, I always lined-up on food cart just to taste the well-blended ice-shaved desserts, Now, it's been so nice to know that scrambles are now available at the mall, this is also brought back my growing years memories. Ian and I went to SM Mall of Asia last 2 weeks ago for our typical date when we saw a long queue toward a new kiosk; we were curious at that time and soon found out that it offers a new version of scramble, the Buz Box Scramble.



This new booth restores the cravings of all people for scrambles. It was Ian who really wants to try it because he was so interested in comparing the old version to the modern and upgraded scramble.

 
I love their booth, it was eye-catching as well as the cups. It's was relatively cheap compare to others, you have the small cup for only Php 10.00, medium for Php 14.00 and large for  Php 17.00. And if you want to add more toppings to your pink crushed ice craze you need to add Php 3.00 per toppings. Available are mini-mallows, choco and candy sprinkle and sago.

After tasting it, Ian's craving was satisfied and now every time we go mall hopping we make sure to grab some scramble from Buz Box.

Aside from Food Trip, Running is also one of our favorite things to do since we need to be fit and maintain our healthy body. Ian and I love to run, this is also our one way of bonding with each other. So yesterday, together with my friends we joined the 8th Animo Run hosted by La Salle University. We actually joined this event 3 years ago and now I'm a little bit disappointed with the organizers.Usually the standard 10km run starts around 5:30am followed  by the 5km run after 10 minutes then last the 3km run. However, in this run the 10km run starts around 6:15am while the runners for 5km run starts by 6:20am, in short they begins late. There are lots of Lasallian students as well as Non-Lasallian like us who participate in this big event.

Since I didn't practice before the run, I'm not satisfied with the result. I finished 5km run in 47 minutes. My goal is to finish it in 30 minutes but since my left knee was injured, it's so hard for me to run on my standard pace. We decided to meet at the finish line in order for us to get freebies, however we got disappointed again. We are expecting too much with the sponsors printed on the back of our singlet knowing that they will provide us at least one product from them but sad to say, only pocari sweat and chika.com gave these freebies.

Chika.com had a nice strategy in promoting their company, all you have to do is open your facebook account then like their web page and you will get either t-shirt or notebook. Well, i chose t-shirt while Ian got the notebook which in the end he personally gave it to me. So sweet!

One of my favorite things to do is Food trip with Ian or with my friends, Ever since I started to work, I realize that I need to pamper myself and give my stomach a special treat every pay day and now that I've been working for almost 5 years I'm proud to say that I almost eaten more than 200 restaurants. Every time I go to Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, I always pass by this Italian Restaurant name Capricciosa and I often tell myself that someday, i gonna check out and try this place. It just happen to come across it while we are looking for a new place to eat in Greenbelt, we decided to try it out.



Capricciosa has been recommended by some of my friends, so I had very high expectations from this place. I found out that Capricciosa is actually a Japanese chain restaurant serving Italian food. Amazing! This place is very nice, they also have cozy interiors inside, if you also want some homey ambiance better go in this place. Upon entering Capricciosa, you are immediately full view of the kitchen where you can actually see your food being prepared.

 


Since this was our first time to try this restaurant, it's been an exciting and challenging to study their menu but good thing after 5 minutes, Aloi and Rhon were ready to place our orders. Aloi order fir our appetizer, she chose Calamari Frito, a fresh squid deep fried until golden brown; it was serve with lemon and their own version of tar-tar sauce. It was the usual squid rings only but more expensive and saltier.

Rhon opted to try the Hamburg Neapolitan. A home made hamburger with tomato and mozzarella baked on top freshly sliced potato gratin served with 5 slices of fresh bread.

Aloi wants to try the Grilled Chicken with rosemary. Whole chicken baked to perfection in olive oil, marinated with rosemary and garlic cloves.

Since I love Carbona. I order Half Carbonara for us. Spaghetti Carbonara here had their own way of cooking the famous white sauce spaghetti, topped with bacon bits, fresh egg and a dark of black pepper. The Carbonara in all its creamy goodness, the serving is almost good for 3 persons; it was placed in a deep plate where we weren't able to finish it all.

Since I am Ayala Card holder, I got a free dessert; Homemade Tiramisu. Sponge cake soaked in coffee espresso topped with mascarpone and cream cheese and cocoa powder. The coffee flavor was subtle bu the cocoa powede was slightly more than I liked, the mascarpone layer though was also good.

Overall Capricciosa is a very nice place, their service was fast, their servers' are friendly, the food was just good, the servings were too little for its price and the prices of their dishes were awfully expensive.
