After hearing mass at Don Bosco Makati, my mom decided to treat us dinner at Super Bowl Glorietta, but my dad suggested trying Kenny Roger's instead. Kenny Roger's is well-known for their baby back ribs and mouth-watering muffins.

My dad order for Solo Plate A which consists of 1/4 chicken classic as main dish, 1 regular side dish, 1 plain rice (but my dad upgrade it to java rice, just add Php 10.00) and corn muffin. Th chicken is roasted the way it should be, tasty and luscious. I think it was marinated for 24 hours with the most flavor and secret spices then slowly roasted to golden brown perfection. Their chicken was of course one of the tastiest I've ever had. By the way, the cold side dish includes slices of pineapple, peaches, green and red apple.

Solo Plate A Php 158.00

JM and I ordered for Chicken and Rib Plate. It composes of 1/2 slab of rib, 1 pc of roasted chicken, 1 plain rice (upgrade to java rice), 2 side dishes (Corn and Carrots Nibblets and Macaroni Cheese) and their signature muffin. I love their ribs, you can really eat all the meats and leave the bones and the barbecue sauces balance it perfectly. I was a little bit disappointed since the servings of the chicken and side dishes were smaller; it was not enough to feed our growling stomachs.

Solo B4 Classic Php 405.00

My mom wants to try their Grilled American Barbecue which comes with 1/4 roast chicken, upgraded java rice, 1 side dish (mashed potato) and of course, my mom's favorite, Muffin. She enjoys the side dish since it was a nice match to the chicken and proved to be very satisfying.

Grilled American Barbecue Php 175.00

And finally, we order for pitcher of Ice Tea for our drinks.

Pitcher of Ice Tea Php 130.00

It has always been a nice and scrumptious dining experience every time we dine at Kenny Roger's; cheaper price but delectable foods that will satisfy your needs. I'm happy to be with my family and spent another whole Saturday with them.

I know as of this very moment, you already heard and seen on television as well as in the Internet about what happened in our country 2 days ago.

To give you a glimpse of this tragic incident, one annoyed ex-policeman Rolando Mendoza armed with an M-16 assault rifle hijacked the bus were there tourists specifically Hongkong and Chinese National in Quirino, Grandstand Manila. The main reason why he did this crime is because Mendoza was desperate to get his job back and after 12-hour standoff, the dramatic hostage crisis ends leaving at least nine people dead and the hostage taker.

On behalf of all Filipinos around the world, I deeply apologize for what happened last August 23. You know Jose Dilao is right, not all Filipinos are like Mendoza. Honestly, we are humane; willing to give unconditional love, hospitable, well-valued and most important is we have fear in God. Please do not judge and abuse us because of this incident. I know no one anticipate or want these things to happen; it's just that our country is now facing another big problem but was trying to stand and face this entire dilemma with heroism.

Our country is full of beautiful places to visit, Chocolate Hills in Bohol, white-sand in Boracay, Underground River in Palawan, Rice Terraces in Mt. Province etc. We love our country and the tourists that visit us. Despite of these scenic spots, our love ones leave this country and chose to serve other states for us and I wholly trust all of you that you treat them very well.

I amiably ask the whole world to forgive us and help our country to be at peace all the times. This incident will help us to improve our security specifically to the tourists who will go to our dear country and be able to serve you better.

Now, Hongkong and China advices their communities to avoid visit the Philippines because of the threat of hostage taking. I can't blame you for whatever decision you had made but I'm asking you to please consider my heartfelt letter before your final decision. Look our country in a positive ways and I'm still hoping that you will consider Philippines as one of your favorite tourist spot despite of this crisis happening to us.

Again, please forgive us and we are so sorry!

After our scrumptious dinner at Giligan's. we opted to continue our bonding moment at Starbucks. I'm so happy because this time, Aloi treats us for coffee and cake but the most interesting part is we avail 20% discount. Yes! You heard it right, since Rhon is currently working at Starbucks as Barista; he has a privilege for a discount. We were lucky to be seated in a nicer place at second floor where we can laugh as long as we want and do lots of crazy things. Hehe.

Ian ordered for his favorite frappe, Java Chip Frappuccino Blended Coffee. I chose Chocolate Cream Chip Frappuccino Blended Cream while Aloi try their Hazel Nut Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Cream.

Frappe Php 155.00 / each

Rhon was refraining from drinking coffee since they have 3 free coffees during his duty, so he ordered for Tazo Giant Peach.

Tazo Giant Peach Php 85.00

Aloi wants to have some cake as dessert, so we order for Classic Chocolate cake. This cake us very rich in chocolate with three layers bathed in smooth frosting of chocolate for a fine by dramatic touch. A new indulgence would make me plump. (A wickedly luscious should I say! Well, forget about diet this time.) Hehe.

Classic Chocolate Cake Php 95.00

Of course, this get-together will not be complete without picture taking... ^_^

I want to kiss you honey.. ^_^

Rhon, Aloi and I set another get together last Friday. We still cannot get over with the fun and laughter's we shared during our food trip session at T.G.I. Friday's; this time we invite Ian to join with us. We just want to chill and relax after a week of hectic deadlines from work, so the answer to our problem is to have another food trip at Giligan's. I've been trying this restaurant whenever my friends wants to have some food and drinking session since Giligan's is not new in the nightlife-gimmick scene.

Wall Decorations

Giligan's is a nice restaurant to go to; a very casual dining should I say. The decorations will remind you of old galleon ships and their waiters look like extra's from an old pirate movie because of their uniforms. The ambiance is really amusing; a good place for the whole barkada like us. They have  a separate area for smokers and non-smokers. The area for smokers is at the open side or view of Glorietta 4 main entrance. Their food is not pricey as compared to other restaurants, they offers "Barkada" packages that start at Php 500.00, good for 4 persons.

We arrived a liitle bit late since I need to get my free gift certificate from Spaghetti Factory. Rhon texted me that he's already at Giligan's. (Note: they don't accept reservations every Friday.) he ordered for appetizer and bottomless Ice Tea while waiting for us. Upon checking in their menu, our first option was to try their Groupies meal but we finally decided to try their other promo which is you can avail 1 platter of plain rice and 4 glass of regular Ice Tea once you reach your total bill of Php 500.00.

Regular Ice Tea

Plain Rice

The first thing that comes to our mind is to try their Sisig which is one of their specialties. The sisig was cooked perfectly; It's not just an ordinary pork sisig, well flavored and really crunchy. I love the combination of green bell pepper, calamansi and mayo that makes it a little creamy.

Sizzling Sisig Php 168.00

Giligan's also offers the best Kare-Kare that totally never failed to satisfy your carvings for it, so we ordered Kare-Kare Beef. They are too generous in putting lots of peanut butter which causes to taste it nuttier; I surely love the flavor of its especially with its partner, the Bagoong (shrimp paste). Their bagoong is fine and blends well with the Kare-Kare.

Kare-Kare Beef Php 214.00

Special Bagoong

Rhon added Lumpiang Shanghai which was cut into small pieces. It was served with sweet and sour sauce which makes it tastier.

Lumpiang Shanghai Php 85.00

We want to try their Chicken Fingers so we ordered one for us. A delicious French classic boneless chicken rolled around cheese and ham. The dish was served with dippin' sauce that causes our meal delectable.

Chicken Fingers Php 162.00

We really had fun that night the restaurant was great also the food is delicious and we really enjoy every food that we ate.

Ever since Ian became my boyfriend 4 years ago, he already part of my family. Ian always gave my family a treat every time his birthday comes, so lat Monday we had our dinner treat from him. We chose North Park since my mom really loves Chinese cuisine and this restaurant offers delectable foods. We already tried this restaurant countless times before and I can proudly say that this is one of those restaurants that never ran out of customers. One thing I love about this restaurant is that they use their menu as place mats; they give free soup, hot tea and service water as per requested, well you can take advantage of it because you cannot opt to order any beverages. They provided a push button if you want to call for a server you don't need to raise your hand to call their attention. Very high-tech right?!

As usual, Ian picked me up from office to meet my family. I texted my mom and told her that we already at North Park waiting for them to arrive, my dad is on his way from work as well JM while Ate Aissa cannot join us in our dinner since she still on the meeting that time. My mom arrives after 15 minutes of waiting and advice us to place our orders while waiting for my dad. I help Ian in choosing our orders and the first thing that comes in our mind is to give another try of Birthday/Toast Noodles, of course a birthday celebration is not complete without Noodles as a saying "Noodles symbolizes for long life."

Birthday/Toast Noodles is topped with fish, barbecue asado, mushroom, different kinds of vegetables and prawns. We already ask the staff to mix it since I'm too lazy to do that for the reason that I'm already starving. Haha.

Birthday / Toast Noodles Php 238.00

Since this is a Chinese Restaurant, we never forget to catch Yang Chow Fried Rice. The rice was not dry, there were generous specks of veggies and shrimps. For us, the rice is already a dish itself.

Yang Chow Fried Rice Php 138.00

For our main dish, Ian opted to order Barbecue Asado. This meal can accommodate 3-4 persons, the barbecue added by Asado sauce on top really satisfy your cravings.

Barbecue Asado Php 146.00

My mom requested for Sweet and Sour Lapu-Lapu. The Lapu-Lapu fillet was fresh-tasting; the sauce was just the right balance of sweet and sour; a perfect combination with Yang Chow Fried Rice.

Sweet and Sour Lapu-Lapu Php 228.00

I want Lechon Macau, since Ian is too kind in giving what I want he order Lechon Macau with Eggplant. I'm not really love eggplant, in fact I don't eat it so I did have second thought about tasting this one. But when my dad told me that this is really good, I try to taste it. In fairness, the crispy skin was delicious even though it was mixed with bagoong and shredded eggplant.

Lechon Macau with Eggplant Php 229.00

I hoped we can consume everything. However, we were not able to eat the whole thing so my dad decided took home the leftovers.

Happy Family :)

Ian invited me last Sunday to a lunch treat with his family at Robinson's Manila. I left our house around 11am and arrived exactly at Robinson's by 12noon when Ian texted me that they already get there in C2 Classic Cruisine; a restaurant that serves a wide variety of Filipino dishes.

C2 is one of the restaurants in the newest Robinson's mid town wing. C2 has this very homely feeling that comes with it. The interiors are attractive; I like the design and the condiments holder - soy sauce, vinegar and fish sauce.

The soft lights on the side of our table make my photos ore stunning. I have a small problem with the place; it is really small and a bit crammed. The tables are too small which can only accommodate small groups from 3-4 persons. I realized when you have large family or friends who will dine in this restaurant will feel a little uncomfortable because of the space. The service is excellent; the servers are attentive maybe because we are paying additional 10% service charge. Haha.

Ian already placed orders when I arrive, he picked Sinigang na Tiyan ng Bangus for our soup. A boneless bangus served in tangy tamarind broth with native vegetables.

Sinigang na Tiyan ng Bangus Php 375.00

He added Binagoongan Lechon Kawali, a crispy liempo with bagoong sauce served with grilled eggplant replish.

Binagoongan Lechon Kawali Php 295.00

He also tries their C2 Adobo Classic. It is a Filipino adobo stewed chicken with egg, bananas, fresh tomatoes and atchara.

C2 Adobo Classic Php 295.00

We ordered 2 Pandan Rice. The bowl of rice is good for 2-3 persons. It is really a perfect match for our meal.

Pandan Rice Php 65.00

For our drinks, Randolph ordered for Watermelon Shake while Tita, Ian and I had our favorite Sago't Gulaman which is a combination of Tapioca pearls and jelly cubes with brown syrup on crushed ice. Really delicious!

Watermelon Shake Php 135.00

Sago't Gulaman Php 80.00

The taste, presentation and servings consider worthy of every cent that Ian paid. We will give this restaurant another try soon!
