Mang Inasal

Happy Birthday Suzette!

Zet is my friend at the same time my classmate in AMA during college life. We have lots of things in common and differences also. She was hired here at our office last May 11 and work as a Call Specialist. Since it's her birthday last Monday, June 28 she decided to treat us for lunch. Her first option was to try Chicken Bacolod in Paseo de Roxas but I suggest trying Mang Inasal since I've already tried Chicken Bacolod and Chic-Boy in Makati Avenue.

Since some of our friends currently on a meeting before lunch time, Zet and I choose to left the office around 12noon and go off to Mang Inasal in DBP Office in Makati Avenue. While waiting for others to arrived, we share lots of stories about anything around the world. Haha. Finally after 20 minutes, Tin, May and Gen arrived.

Mang Inasal has branches in Bacolod, Iloilo, Roxas, Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Kalibo etc. As of today, they have 250 branches nationwide. According to their website, Mang Inasal endeavors to adhere to elements that bear a distinctively Pinoy stamp-grilling with charcoal. I really amazed how this restaurant became popular these past few years. I think because it is one of the best alternative dishes to the usual fried chicken that Jollibee, Mc Donalds and KFC offers or maybe because it was endorsed by one of the most popular and in-demand artist, Mark Bautista. Haha.

I really want to try their chicken, so I choose to order PM1 which includes Legs and Thigh part. The chicken was marinated with local spices and herbs placed in a bamboo sticks served with plain rice wrapped in banana leaves. Their chicken really suits the taste of Filipino. Their servings was large which enough for you to take additional rice. (Mang Inasal offers rice-all you can). I love the mixed savor of sweet and smoky flavors. Your desire for food will be tastier when you dip it in a mixture of soy sauce, chili and calamansi.

They also have a complimentary soup which I really love. It was served hot and the taste was a little bit sour which makes our stomach ready to taste their best chicken inasal.

Gen opted to try their PM3 which includes 2 pieces of Barbecue and plain rice

We ordered regular iced tea for our drinks.

We shared lots of stories about our officemates and do our usual laughter and picture taking of course!

Again, Thank you Suzette for the wonderful treats for us.
